  1. Sussex OB would more than likely put the mockers on that idea too for the same reasons as them groundsharing St Mary's. There's certainly no love lost between the 2 sets of fans, they are Brighton's more obvious (than Palace) 'local' rivals, there's been a number of hefty threads on North Stand Chat about the "cheats" this one of the latest... http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?242527-Will-Pompey-fold-(merged-threads)/page62 I can't see any mention of a possible groundshare mentioned on NST and they're usually pretty much on-the-ball.
  2. You think that's bad? I caught a bit of Footie Focus the other week and the presenter actually described him as "Irish"...! Can you believe that?
  3. A cynic might suggest that could have been written by NA himself or someone very close to him. Not that I disagree with any of it and I'd think you'd be hard-pushed to find many Saints fans that wouldn't thank and wish NA all the best for the future, I can't see anything but a warm welcome for him ever in Southampton. I know he'll get a fantastic reception from our lot on Saturday but then it should be back to business and a big show of support for MP and the team. Cheers Nigel.
  4. In all its glory... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHiSlmIVxgo The Punch one gets an airing.
  5. "You're Gonna Get Your Fu................................."
  6. Make your mind up ...only kidding, have heard similar...like you do. And he did have an air of eccentricity about him at times. P*ssed me a tad last night on MOTD when they interviewed Poch and tried to get him praise NA for the team he inherited. Tbf, NA inherited a pretty good one from Pards, it how it works when a new guy takes over. And Ozz, when you say "and there was many a mention of c**n" is that something to do with his liking for a fake tan?
  7. Man, you've been out of the country far too long..."mixed crowds" died out in the early sixties! Whether it's right or wrong that away fans get slung out of home areas, the fact is if you buy a ticket in 'home' seats most accept you show a bit of respect and keep it low-key. It clearly states on tickets and is a general rule that away fans aren't permitted in home areas and will be ejected if identified. If you can't keep a lid on it, and it is very difficult at times, just don't act surprised or moan when it gets gnarly.
  8. Bearsy and Tokes
  9. I was at Wembley against them in the Euros 2 or 3 years back, a few hundred of Montenegro's finest made more noise than 75,000ish of ours. Will be fiesty tonight f'sure.
  10. Even more surprising that he originally comes from Havant - as well as Roger Black also from that neck of the woods. Never heard that before and I think he's even been seen down the road. Exiled Yorkshireman. Spurs fan, got a liking for Saints when he moved to Hampshire and got pally with Le Tiss. Another exiled Yorkie who lives in Winchester. Probably just fancied a day out.
  11. That's a good shout but we already know what ol' Rosey looks like... Corp and Mack
  12. Quick get onto the News, he's a perfect specimen for their very popular 'Cu*t Heroes' thingy they're doing at the mo. And they were that close to another candidate this evening too. Got in from work, the missus was watching 'Come Dine With Me', tonight coming from Chichester, and there's this 'orrible little c*nt on there (all the hallmarks of an inbred) and tho and behold, he turns up at a contestants house with a gift of a skate shirt. Everything suddenly made sense. Despite his delusions that he was by far the "bestest" cook/host and was going to win, of course, (he was actually called deluded on there) he didn't, and so the News missed out on that particular cu*t hero. He came last btw.
  13. If you're looking to wall-mount it then this is a good buy... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Designer-Habitat-PREMIUM-Wall-Bracket/dp/B003U46SWC/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1363871107&sr=8-14
  14. Are they all brothers-in-arms now? A year or so back they had quite a hefty thread on one of the Cov forums all about the "cheating" skates. Still, nice to see the sky blues can be there to witness the skates going down just as they were there at SMS to see us return to the Prem. Happy days. WTFILN.
  15. The Reading/Poyet link does seem a strange one...but...if he did jump ship that would leave a fairly attractive post available at the Amex. And then if NA fancied a pop at that it could cause a bit of a rumpus amongst the seagulls, they f**kin despised Adkins during our little spats with 'em in L1 and the Champ.
  16. http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=304359.0 An opposition view; looks generally like "it's only Sarf'ampton...", what you'd expect really. They see Ramirez as the danger man (probably just because they were in for him...and bleedin' well should be at £12m!) but one of their's points out that he's heard Saints fans saying "can be great...but usually not". One or two reasonable comments. But check out 'Post 35' on first page, that's some analysis, their very own MLG!
  17. I think Saints away crowds are quite often quoted on what's sold in advance, we nearly always have a decent turn-up-on-the-day at many grounds. Away section at Norwich was just about full and there must have been around 4,000 at Wigan, that end holds 5,500, easy to work out thanks to the pic of it when empty... "Reminds me of a time a few seasons back when Forest played Portsmouth on a dismal Tuesday night and Pompey’s sum contribution to the attendance was a mighty 14 fans – we counted them" Well there may well have only been "14" but as you would expect from the "bestest fans" they were "mighty"
  18. Little known fact...toothpaste was invented in p*rtsmuff...if it had been invented in Southampton it would have been called Teethpaste.
  19. That must be the couple on the news earlier, twas a heart-warming picture of the happy couple...
  20. It will probably have been relocated to a quiet corner, 'elf'n'safety, you couldn't just leave something like that stuck out front, someone might trip over it. Nice to have a vision tho...and yeah, that 'Southampton Shard' does look good.

Oh come on, surely another big mistake...he must have meant St Pauli modelled themselves on the "bestest in the whole wide world" I mean, how does this... [video=youtube;-SK4Epw5cE0] compare to this... I see some similarities, St Pauli is based in the red-light district of Hamburg and portsea island looks like one big brothel with the locals providing services for the returning sailors...oh hang on, St Pauli was set up as an anti-racist movement so that wont sit well with a club that used to throw bananas at its own black players and had strong links with right-wing hooligans.
  22. I think you're right TCWTB looks like he's filling his nappy.
  23. Oi mackerel, which one's you then? I'm guessing the groupie on the left...what's in your bag Angelos? I guess this is what the home 'end' could look like at Moneyfields. Nicked from TUI
