  1. And we signed Caceres, played him once and then released him. Tidy enough for Lazio, but surplus to requirements here. Go figure....
  2. Does anyone genuinely know whether there are relegation release clauses or financial reductions in the players contracts?
  3. Bates, Channon, Lambert, MLT
  4. Completely untested at English level and not a name that's going to draw players to us.
  5. This. can't stand the nauseating artificial tw*t. Don't want him anywhere near our club.
  6. Yeah, along with RoKo leaving
  7. Frankly, that should be a given irrespective of who the manager is.
  8. Gabbiadini is likely to be rusty and lacking on confidence after so much time on the bench. We know he can score, give him time to get back into it. Cedric's goal was bizarrely brilliant, 100 yards covered from RB to upfront on the left, no way he'd have done that if MoPe had still been here
  9. GET IN!!!!
  10. ffs!!!
  11. hope we don't come to regret that....
  12. great save tbf
  13. Apart from Carillo, I'm loving this line up. Probably our strongest possible XI
  14. interesting perspective https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/933312/Southampton-Mark-Hughes-Nathan-Redmond-Premier-League
  15. I'm pleased it isn't. Monumentally underwhelmed by this appointment and if we go down, do we really want to be stuck with him??
  16. The Mirror is reporting that we're sacking him at the end of the season whether we stay up or not. Fulham's Jokanovic and Ostersunds Graham Potter lined up as replacements.....
  17. What was the crowd reaction at the final whistle??
  18. This is one of the Stoke fan's combined XI from us and them. 4 of ours in there, 2 of which most of us wouldn't want anywhere near the starting XI...funny how other people see us!!! A combined XI would probably be: Butland Bauer Shawcross Indi Bertrand Allen Lemina Badou Shaqiri Long Redmond
  19. It is when it leaves us in a position like we are in at the moment. From a fan's perspective, I'd rather not be in a relegation battle than have swelled the bank coffers
  20. Don't disagree with you for a second. The PL has become rather unpalatable overall becoming a millionaires playground. Until either a salary cap or a draft system is introduced, neither of which I believe the FA can do, I think it will become unsustainable and the bottom will drop out, at which point, given our financial management, we should become one of the more stable clubs. Until then, it's scraps from the table.
  21. Am happy with the left but Cedric couldn't cross a road and Pied hasn't exactly set the flanks on fire....
  22. It just becomes a bit hard to stomach when we continually get bent over the car bonnet by the same self-pitying and entitlement-delusioned club. It's becoming a standing PL joke.
