How refreshing; a balanced and measured view. A rarity on this site of late.

Excellent read. Let's face it though, choosing that game for the minutes silence was a terrible idea (think I said that before the game).

I've not been on this forum for about 6 months because it was getting too full of immature posts like this. I come back on to read about the build up to the season and within 30 seconds I see this. Don't think I'll bother coming back.
-
yeah i did also think that!

Funny you say that - did NZ a few months back and although flew eastbond to Bangkok (Hong Kong on way home) we had what i'd call fairly bad turbulence over the Afghan mountains - I was thinking to myself "is there a worse place in the world to come down right now?"

Saints 4-1 Carlisle - 2010 JPT Champions - Reaction

Couldn't you say the same about MLT's betting scam? Enjoyed the day, had a whole rabble with me from in-laws, friends, direct and indirect family (most of which probably got there quicker than I did from South East London!) Antonio MOM for me. I was also slightly nervous at 4-1, shame we couldn't get that 5th and keep the clean sheet. Would have been properly steaming for kick-off (a la 2003) had I not been with the in-laws. Nice to remember a game for a change though! Wouldn't have even been going had it not been for my company being a Club Wembley member - big stroke of luck that. Was bizarre seeing saints fans as far afield as Greenwich and Lewisham! -
good old saints fans. even when things are going really well, we'll find things to squabble about.

I do. He is shockingly bad. He think's (or plays like) a tricky winger but he's lacking one essential quality - he can't beat a man. Awful.

Shot through the head. Only way (a la Matthew Broderick in Full Metal Jacket). I'd also get absolutely sh*tfaced first though so I'd actually go through with it. On a serious note, I've often thought that, health permitting things could NEVER be so bad to take my own life, perhaps though because I know if it comes down to it I could always move somewhere nobody knew me and "start again" because I have the skillset/ability to do so. I guess guilt never leaves you though, if those are the circumstances. Agree though it's very easy for us as clear thinking rational people to say all this, who knows what it would be like if you were there. The way Randy Quad died in that god-awful alien film - now that's the way to go.

Lesbos?

or the guy who commited suicide on the rail line near Gatwick last year causing me to miss my flight and a day in Florida. Selfish c*nt

Great point, but it WAS London.

Don't get Ponty started, he showed an equally narrow mind on the ghost thread a few months back. I think we all know his stance. I'm so sure it's gonna happen I'm going to bet £10k on it - I'll be laughing when I collect my wi .... oh.

I'm going to this game, and looking forward to it but am I the only person confused by all the hype? The way people are talking about tickets being goldust it's like the FA cup final all over again - it's East London in league 1 in October! And it's not the recent run of form, people were getting excited way before that. Perhaps I'm missing something.

Good post Snail. I think (and always have done) that the role of the manager is overstated. It's the 11 men on the pitch that decide the result. Finally someone has pinpointed a few problems with the FOOTBALL, not the manager.

why? that's for testicular cancer - not prostate. Those days certainly aren't gone - ask John Hartson.

Like printing money. I might have a few combinations actually - never done this before but might make the season a bit more interesting. So, some predicting us to win the league, others predicting relegation. Mid table finish anyone?
-
Have a word with yourself Steve. We both know they are not the same thing (unless by "double figures" you're talking about mid 20s and upwards.

Most of them are ripped off from Tommy Cooper

Only just found out about this - does not look good. Unfortunately, by the time many cancers display symptoms it's too late as they have already spread. Moral of story here - check yourself every month. Could save your life. I had a scare once but turned out to be a cyst - better to be safe than sorry though.

When are people on this forum going to realise "alot" is not a word? I've just read the student thread (what a fun 10 mins that was) and it was written about 15 times!

Calm down - we're in league 1
