  1. He's NEVER been one to patrol the touch line during games whilst at Saints. Except for a lack of players that can score goals I thought saints again played well and looked to have spot on tactics. He recognised that Liverpool began to dominate in midfield and replaced Cork with Wanyama. He also re of used we were failing to penetrate the Liverpool defence and hold the ball up in the final third and replaced Lambert with Gallagher. Would you prefer Pardew?
  2. Awesome day for it up here in the centre of the universe!
  3. My boss went spare at me, 138 phone calls in one month. My finest moment, especially as he was a West Ham fan! We beat them 2-1 in 2003/4 and I wrote it in black marker pen on the dry wipe board in the sales office, I didn't realise it was a permanent marker at the time!
  4. Damn, 4am is not my prettiest time of day!
  5. Incapsulating little article. Being a pedant for grammar, my only observation was the lack of consistency with the word 'gaffer'. With it being a slang word, it's purest form is unknown but worth looking into. Other than that, I hope it's well received with positive reviews, after all, it's not aimed at the audience on here but an audience of less well informed. Cracking name too, a pseudonym I assume?
  6. Cheers mate. Don't forget my tickets
  7. Steve, a quick google search doesn't look positive for parking at the field, have you been there before? Any advice as I'll need to bring the car.
  8. As long as you can pass, you'll do fine.
  9. Ironic considering the family history between Puma and Adidas. From one brothers firm to another!
  10. When he signed from Bristol Rovers, I didn't have a clue who he was and instantly wrote him off as being over weight, slow and not the sort of signing we should be making. How wrong. Top, top player. Still slow and annoys the crap out of me for pulling wide and often being behind the play, especially when counter attacking BUT he's been an incredible signing for us. Congrats Sir Lambert.
  11. I was told yesterday that his locker has been cleared out and that he won't play another game for the club. Let's hope we get some money back for him!
  12. You could start by spelling her name right?
  13. Why does everyone let Alpine Saint get their backs up? With all due respect to a lot of posters, I just picture everyone as a spotty little internet warrior that doesn't have the first clue about the business or playing side of football at a high level. It's just like a party on here, you don't need to speak to everyone at the party and you shouldn't let a single person upset you. Personally, without Alpines posts, I'd be quite bored as if you read them with an ironic or sarcastic twist, they actually appear quite funny. Shame on all of you Internet warriors
  14. It didn't look to good, hopefully a quick recovery. Bearsy: Someone gave you a job?!
  15. Why does the title say Sunday @ 2pm when it's Saturday @ 3pm?
  16. This story was published in The Mirror yesterday - not sure how reliable your friend is but he can certainly read. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelseas-demba-ba-crystal-palace-2995019
  17. If anyone has two spare tickets together for today's game, please send me a message. Have friends down for the weekend and would be nice to let them see us win ?
  18. Stevegrant
  19. Fonte was our best crosser of the ball tonight, Cork played some good forward balls and had two shots, Lambert was once again out wide more than in the middle and JRod worked his socks off running the channels, closing players down and scored an important goal. I'll give you Shaw though, didn't have the beating of his man all night. Happy to help correct you.
  20. Gotta get two before VFTT! Anybody?!
  21. Impressive knowledge!
  22. Both will start tonight according to BBC
  23. Too many greedy one man team chumps in this squad.
  24. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/441489/Man-Utd-Arsenal-and-Southampton-on-alert-for-unsettled-Argentine-midfielder-Ever-Banega Not too sure on the accuracy though, unless they know something we don't! Southampton boss Manuel Pellegrini was also linked with a move for Banega over the summer and could rekindle his interest in the upcoming transfer window.
