Solent are awful. If they done their research then they would of known that Holmes is out for rest of season and that Puncheon is a negative influence and is not wanted by Adkins. I find it frustrating that when they interview Adkins they do not ask him relevant questions that we Saints fans want answers too. A half decent interviewer would of asked about Schneiderlin's injury and when he is due to return to action. He has been injured for few weeks now and there has been no official word on this.

Great result poor performance. Hammond man of the match for me. Lallana had poor game by his standards especially first half. Tactics were wrong in first half lallana and ox both needed to go down wide areas more.

We are more of a consistant threat when Barnard plays. From what i've seen of Guly he has flashes of brilliance mixed in with some pretty mediocre stuff which perhaps is a little too unpredictable for this stage of season. Barnard deserves to keep his place in team.

Last season Leeds were in 2nd position with 71 points after 35 games looking dead certs for automatic promotion. They then lost 6 of the last 11 games winning the other 5. They ended up with 86 points and only just finishing in 2nd place. They had a couple of injuries to important players and with pressure intensifying as season drew to a close they almost threw it away. This season there are 6 teams within 10 points of each other, albeit with various games in hand, and the pressure of winning every week to stay in the mix is massive. We don't need to win every game but the team who handles the pressure best and not choke will gain automatic promotion.

Brighton will win league and 2nd place between Saints and Charlton. Therefore the 2 games against Charlton will proabably determine who finshes 2nd. If Lallana plays majority of remaining games then i think we will finish 2nd.

Draw fair result and at halftime i would of taken that. First half i felt the formation meant we didn't close down wide areas quick enough resulting in our defence being exposed to the ball over the top far too often . I would of gone 4 4 2 at 2 up as boro were causing us problems despite scoreline .

This season so far he has played deeper and with his back to goal hence the lack of goals. Last season he was playing higher up pitch and we got more crosses into box hence his 30 odd goals. You don't have to be physically quick to score goals. What you need is decent service into right areas which hopefully the new guys will provide.

I seem to remember it took Antonio a few games to get going and even then he had few inconsistant games -typical winger. Lets give Forte a chance. I forsee him being used as an impact player, his pace will be an asset especially in last 20 minutes of a game when opposition have tired. Our starting eleven are good but when things are not going for us you need to offer something different which hopefully this guy will provide. If we can get more crosses in then likes of Barnard and Lambert will thrive.

I actually thought we created better attacking situations in 2nd half. It was just that the final pass was lacking and didn't get enough crosses into box for Lambert and Barnard to be effective. Neither of them held the ball up well enough imo. Up to final third we played well though.

evra and rafael not featuring so may be a good opportunity for us to use pace in the wide areas though Dickson and Ox. Unless Carrick plays then I don't think we will get much joy through the middle ! Shame Lallana not fit I would of loved seeing him play against a top team like united.

Yeah I remember when Wotte said Ryan Smith had potential to be world class. A joke statement made by a joke of a manager. Ryan Smith was hopeless for Saints. He had such little belief in his own ability it was untrue. Glad to see back of him personally.

Is it me or anyone else noticed that when Kelvin Davis does pre match interview we pretty much end up losing that game !! Plus goalkeeper should not be captain. Without Hammond we lack leadership which sounded pretty evident today. The lack of 'impact players' from bench was bit worrying today. In Lallana's absence we need a player who is going to give us that spark to grind out wins.

I am not a ST holder and only get to go to perhaps 5 games a season due to other commitments but I think this is ticketing policy is a shrewd move by NC and to be honest pretty fair. It should mean vast majority of fans in home ends will be supporting Saints and as stated in other posts it will guarantee good crowd for Carlisle. Even if we don't sell out we will have the tv revenue to make up the difference.

We may get beat 3-0 again but surely our overall performance won't be any worse than in 2009. The only concern I have is that we no longer have the 'world class' Smith playing for us

Kelvin D is great shot stopper but does not always dominate his box on crosses and kicking can be wayward. From what I saw of Bart today he is no better at dominating the box on crosses and his kicking was a little wayward. From memory he made one good save from long range Matt Phillips shot but did not have to make any other decent save. I would stick with Kelvin.

A brilliant performance. Some of the passing especially in second half was an absolute joy to watch. A little surprised to see Puncheon in team but he actually played pretty well and credit to NA for getting the tactics spot on. Lambert should of scored but no question his link up play was very good. Thought Dickson looked good when he came on. I think he may be converted in out and out left midifelder/Winger as loves to run with ball and got good pace. Not Morgan biggest fan but have to admit he played well especially in second half. Guly goal was awesome. Matt Philips was Blackpool best player with his pace causing us a few problems but to be honest we played them off the park. COYR

totally agree. He clearly enjoys playing for Saints and has not let contract talks affect his performances so probably happy to waiting until season is over before deciding his future. If we go up he will stay if we don't then he will go simple as that !!

We have no obvious replacements for lallana and Ox if either got injured. At mo Dickson and richardson are only options from bench. So I would be very surprised if we didn't sign winger.
