I've never really rated Martinez, and couldn't understand what Whelan was on about when he said that Martinez would only leave to go to a "top, top club". I honestly think that Whelan thought he hand the next Man U / Real / Barce manager at his club. Would love to have seen his face when Martinez told him he wanted to go to Everton. I have noticed though that the spin has started already, apparently Everton would be ideal for Martinez now. I only wish he had left Wigan to go to Stoke, that would have even funnier!

Id take a punt on Darren Bent, he's been told he can leave Villa on a free. Has always scored goals. He could be our 4th choice striker behind Lukaku, Rickie and Rodriguez.
