  1. Well look what's come along and well and truly butt f#cked the hand wringers while they weren’t looking…... IPCC holding emergency meetings to try and cover up..i mean concoct an explanation to save face….Mass panic in the carbon credit markets……Governments making policy U turns……Sheez they only had to ask.....I could have put them straight years ago….. http://www.climatedepot.com/2013/09/17/antarctic-sea-ice-extent-breaks-all-time-record-for-ice-expansion-increasing-to-19-512-million-sq-km-and-beating-last-years-record-high-of-19-477/ http://guardianlv.com/2013/09/arctic-ice-cap-growing-at-tremendous-rate/ So it seems the Polar Bears get to live another day....wait! ....Weren't they all s'posed to have drowned by now? Stay warm peeps
  2. Wanyama is part of the equal 4th best defence in the Premier league......In the company of Man Utd, Chelsea, Everton and Stoke. If we continue to keep our 'Goals against' to well below a goal a game, then we're only going to need a goal or so a game to win far more than we loose....I can live with that.
  3. This time last year we had conceded 14 goals.....So far this year we've conceded just 2, and only one from open play.....Anyone who can't see an improvement there isn’t looking very hard. Get the defense right and the rest will come....Patience people...."Defense wins Championships"
  4. There aint no place like NOLA that's for sure ....Glad to see y'all enjoyed your trips.....Even more so, that a lot of you managed to dig out some the more local haunts I wouldn't live anywhere else......This place will be the death of me one day, I'm sure.....But I don't care @FloridaMarlin....Small world....I know the Breaux family personally.....My wife is good buddies with with Brett. It was his Ancestors that founded Breaux Bridge and there's been a family presence there ever since......Did you check out the Zydeco Breakfast in the Café des Amis?....That's Brett's place and Saturday mornings is like nothing else.....8am packed to the rafters, the place is rocking and stomping to Zydeco bands with Bloody Mary's in full flow )....Awesome experience )......Did you get a chance to check out the Alligator cheesecake?
  5. When you think about it...Restricting Season ticket sales is a good way to increase the 'active' fan base.....Many peeps who go to a game for the first time get smitten and start going regularly thereafter....The more General Sale tickets available, the more chance there is of getting newbies through gates.
  6. This time four years ago, I was extremely optimistic and happy that my other "Saints" had a good shout at getting to the Super Bowl....."Ridiculous" screamed the nay Sayers and 'cool people' (in their own mind)......Oh how they laughed and sneered....teams like the Saints don't get to the Super Bowl ha ha....Oh no....that's the reserve of teams like the Cowboys, Bears, Patriots etc....Na, perennial losers like the Saints don't get to the Super Bowl! Well I believed from the first game of the season and kept on believing through every play of every game and loved every minute of it. And guess what?.......Not only did the Saints 'get' to the Super Bowl...We went and 'WON' the freaking thing. 2009/10 was the sporting ride of my life. Even surpassing 1976... Now before the Barry's and the Turks start latching on and trying to make out I'm saying that Southampton are going to win the Premier League this year, I'm not.....But I do believe we could be in for a hell of a season, with a top 6-8 place within the realms of possibility and maybe even finishing above the likes of Arsenal or Liverpool. I don't give a damn what the 'cool peeps' think.....I'm going to be enjoying every minute of the ride and I'll keep on believing until the end....and if we fall flat?.....Well there's always next season right?
  7. Directv are putting the games up on their guide about a week ahead of time ....Saints v Sunderland is up already, even with the late change from overflow to NBCSN .......If you scroll your guide forward to 8/24/13 you'll see it on channel 220 at 8:55am Central or for you, 6:55 Pacific...Premier League live starts 15 mins before that with the build up. They also still have the game showing on the overflow channel 493 as it was originally....I just put "Premier League" in the smart search and it pulls all the games, previews, highlights, match of the day etc and record everything from there....only have to enter it once....it remembers your searches ) Been loving the coverage so far....no more dodgy and crappy streams )
  8. And the voices in his head
  9. If you witnessed and/or were affected first hand by the impact of Deepwater Horizon on the local Sea Food industry, environment and economy, I’m sure you would have a different opinion.....(and by local i mean an area at least 1/4 the size of England)
  10. Who said anything about 'wearing' a football shirt?.... Someone else who should probably step away from here for a while and clear their head a bit
  11. Well I for one like the monotone crests...They're sure as hell an improvement over the tin pot piece of garbage designed by a 16 year old in the 70's, that we've had to put up with over the last 40 years. NC has found a way to make it a little more presentable, yet still maintain some tradition...who'd of thunk it! Some peeps just don't do 'class' very well
  12. You might want to dry your eyes and take another look at that "screen print badge"
  13. You mean you didn't realize a soccer shirt cost's about 5 bucks to make in China?.....You better not check out the manufacturing cost of those trainers you're wearing
  14. Well you could lobby your Government to start funding a UK Moon landing project. Sounds like you'd be more than happy to meet the tax burden to enable it As a US tax payer I say **** the Moon...We've been there, done it and discovered the bulk of what can be discovered there.....On to bigger, better and more worthwhile things.
  15. I'm sure to some, that may well be the case....But being judged an arse by handwringers has never been a concern of mine..... The misfit put this in the public domain all by his self, and rather than see it through to it's conclusion discreetly and privately with the Club, as most 'balanced' people would. He chose to scweem and scweem from the rooftops at the first opportunity to use his poor Father's predicament as this weeks blunt instrument to aim at Cortese Sorry if I don't join in with the wailing and gnashing of teeth....Entitlement has never been my thing....and believe me, my definition of "totally disgusting and disgraceful behavior" would be whole lot worse than a Soccerball club ending an entitlement program...Not that it ever did "totally disgusting and disgraceful behavior"......lol
  16. So lemme get this straight......Within a week, the mongboard resident 'No life misfit' has gone from reveling in the glory days of tough hardman soccerball violence with post's that are concluded like.......... "It's difficult to believe that as a city and club we could have gone from being the most terrifying away day in England to a stadium with dancing dogs and fancy dress. Some might call that progress but I wouldn't be so quick to agree. I for one am proud of my Southampton brothers at the reputation we had in a very different time and era." To a limpwristed bedwetting, handwringer .....Sobbing his eyes out because the club made an honest mistake that was rectified within 24 hours? "Disgusted"...bwaaaa..... "Disgraceful".....Booohooo.....LOL you couldn't make it up I had it right all along.......Basement dwelling misfit
  17. LOL...listen to you......EDF's success was built on investing heavily in nuclear power...They're now the world leaders in the field.....Something else back in the day, your lot would never allow happen in the UK. Like I said yesterday, if you weren't around to experience the decades prior to Maggie then you can never truly appreciate just how bad things were....It's pure fantasy land for anyone who didn't experience it for real.....You would just never believe it.
  18. Back in the days when the Unions were f**king up, sorry trying to run the country and just about every business...anyone that wasn't a Socialist was called a lot worse than "nasty".....The class hate was there way before Thatcher...She just gave them somone to focus on
  19. This ^ You had to have been around to witness the total f**k fest that was Britain spiraling into oblivion for the 20 years prior to Thatcher to truly appreciate her greatness....That woman achieved the impossible....Sure, it was painful for some. But the Country was so far down the tubes, it was never going to be painless. She did what it took to turn things around and had the balls of steel required to see it through... RIP Maggie
  20. Oh, i was right btw....
  21. i can kinda relate to how Joe feels....Serious business these fans trust's...Trust me, they'll stop at nothing to silence decenters
  22. If you genuinely believe that, you should probably take a break from this forum and Saint's supporting in general for a while and try and regain some perspective.....You'll thank me for it later.
  23. Yup, it all turned out exactly like i said it would...To think i had the wrath of a thousand Saints fans and banned from Saint's Forever for being a Lowe luvvie and anti Wild......It was so freaking obvious to me at the time, i couldn't believe that so few peeps could see it.......And here i am watching the seeds of history slowly start to repeat its self.
  24. Back in the late 60's early 70's the majority of kids at my school in Dorset supported either Man Utd, Leeds, West Ham or Spurs, with a small spattering of Chelsea.....No coincidence those were the teams around the top of div 1 and regularly associated with FA Cup finals etc
