Spoke too soon... Feels like the attacks have started now... All channels flakey and falling over
-
Disabled my VPN too btw
-
TSN4 perfect on sportsmania. Match day links dead for me. Go to calendar, find saints game and chose TSN4 from the available options.

PIA VPN for me.... Update to my earlier post.. son watching at home says it's been fine for United game. Bet your life it will break for the Saints game later
-
I am out and about now but had a quick play earlier on, sky channels were playing ok as was wwe network (my son is into the wrestling). Then I tried match day channels for the United game - terrible buffering even on SD channels. I have a VPN in place but my area is over subscribed so Virgin media contending me badly. Having said that I can still watch Netflix/Prime etc so my connection is ok. Think I'll just fall back to the radio/official site for commentary. I get too frustrated with a buffering channel :-)

Did you try entering "imwaiting" (without the quotes) in the coupon field of the sign up page? They handed out 2 week subscriptions because of their issues in getting their backend configured for the start of the season.

They are going to feel the heat more than anyone else. They have grown to be a serious threat and a viable alternative. Despite the intermittent issues which many have, it's been very good for me personally. I have had the occasional hiccup but generally it's been a far cry from the old acetsream /sports devil days a few years ago. I'm still on the "imwaiting" temp subscription as my sub ended a week or two back. Probably won't bother signing up again.

Those plucky 'ammers are convinced they will oblige and assist in ending our goal drought. Much the same as any football fan I guess, you always think your team will bare the brunt of another's backlash. Here's hoping...

Apart from visiting this site I zone right out of everything except the Saints game itself. It's the only thing that counts. Don't get me wrong, years ago I was all over everything. Pre and post match analysis, news paper reports you name it. As I've gotten older I've no time for anything other than the 90mins once a week. All the other stuff is noise in the background at best, in fact white noise makes more sense than most of the drivel clinging onto the game these days.

Pedagogic level... Some of our players will need to look that up. Seems like he is of the more intelligent variety of footballer... Hopefully bodes well.

This is more accurate... I recall (just) serrandading car fulls of Saints stood aloft a table in the high street playing OWTSGMI on my kazzoo !!! They shut the pubs for an hour after the game, had to fill the time somehow.

Was the era I started going down the Dell on my own with a few mates, in for a quid on the Milton. Of all the great memories that man and team gave me during that period, an innocuous midweek league cup game? against Norwich stands out... Le Tiss hattrick with the third being a run just inside Norwich's half, a bit of luck as he ran into the last covering defender before advancing to the corner of the penalty box before picking out a curler past a deflated Bryan Gunn... Milton went batsh*t crazy before it hits the net... EDIT: Jaysus, I'd forgotten how good his second that night was... The third was also much better than I remember/described above.. damn you getting old!!

Dunno tbh but a VPN is a good idea anyway as a precaution. Get one that doesn't keep logs, that way the feds can't force them to hand over data.

The only way they recover from this is if the VVD money is used to fund the Bale deal. They might just get away with it in that case ? I think I already posted in this thread that if VVD does indeed go to them, I hope we disclose the full cost of the transfer to appease our supporters rather than the usual undisclosed. Undisclosed leaves the door wide open for the Scouse media machine to rub our noses in it even more by claiming the deal was all on their terms. I want Les to man up and come out and tell us VVD was sold for £70m cash up-front. I know none of that will happen as it worsens our position as buyers in the market but I would still like to see it, it's not my money after all. I just don't like those pesky Scouse gits thinking they pulled our trousers down... Probably in the minority on this. All of the above is fairly tongue-in-cheek btw, for any of our Scouse visitors reading.

I have it on good authority that all these forum 'legends' are bots intended to drive traffic on the site. The end game is to sell this forum as part of a porn consortium based in East London and use site traffic for porn ads. My source tells me the porn will be very niche and almost certainly be focussed on nuns and other clergy.

And this is why I'm out... It might be our model and thank you oh mighty wealthy owners who saved my club... But for crying our loud... It's pointless now.
-
Hang on fella, providing compelling and convincing evidence based on theory and stats is frowned upon in these parts. Please do continue though...

You must of watched Saints a lot the same time as me as those are my two picks. Case looked after the kids in the team and knew how to roll his sleeves up. Presented me with the gopping blue flame away kit from the early nineties after I won a comp ran by the club shop. Real nice fella. Razor for the high-knee goal celebration running back towards the Milton. Can't believe how big he is now.

Like many I am more or less resigned to losing VVD, it's par the course now with Saints. I just hope we get the correct fee in, times are mental in the transfer market and we need to hold firm and get the right fee. I've been sick to the stomach, like most, re Liverpool's dealings with us. Not least because their media outlets contradict the transfer fees compared to our own leaked figures. I know it shouldn't bother me and it certainly won't bother Saints, I just don't like feeling like we've been taken for a ride and giving another club's supporters bragging rights. Bad enough we have to sell to compete without letting these entitled w*nkers feel like they've got the better of us in negotiations.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
jasonb replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
This is correct. There is a section connecting the arena entrance to Victoria station next door. The attacker has targeted this open access area where parents were gathering to collect their teenage children after the concert. As a citizen of this city for 25 years and regular gig goer myself, this is deplorable act of cowardice. The arena itself is fairly secure as bag checks are made and you are body checked on entry. What can you do about someone who waits outside tho? I'm going to a gig next week at a much smaller venue. This won't stop me. -
SWEEPSTAKE ALERT - Puel departure announcement timing - all welcome
jasonb replied to CB Fry's topic in The Saints
General election is only s fortnight away. Could be a good time to bury bad news. I'm sure the club don't give a toss what anyone but the fans think, but if was advising them from a PR POV then that's when I would do it. -
