Well ignoring the minus ten for a minute i'm pretty sure we will gain the same amount of points as the teams in the playoffs.
So how it can be quite so difficult to imagine we could go from a team who scores enough points to get a playoff place one season to a team that gets automatic promotion the following season is pretty beyond me.
Then of course we have all the usual stuff like having a decent settled pre season, further strengthening of the squad, a set of players gelling, etc, etc. which of course is discussed to death and often dismissed by some on here who can't wring any pleasure from their lives.
I refuse to be dragged down into negativity over this season off the back of some poor form. We're 90 minutes away from a trip to Wembley come Tuesday night and have a real humdinger in the visit of Pompey next week. Fantastic stuff! A playoff finish would have been pretty amazing but i'm not that impatient. And we'll do it in true style next season which as you say would be one hell of a way to celebrate our 125 years in existence.
