I understand the point Clark. However if i look at the banner at the top of this page that is what i think of when i think Saints. And never have i in anyway associated a red sash kit with us. Anyway i think it's pretty irrelevant as as others have said i think it's probably already been decided and it'll be in the style of that Mick Channon one at the top. 76 and all that. *edit* Having reread the original article i reckon it probably will be the sash actually. Haven't got a problem with that either. Just would prefer stripes in some form.

I like Gecko's but the more i think about it it really doesn't say Southampton FC to me to have that sash. Great as a third kit. But not our main strip.

Wonderful news. Gash sponsors can put me off buying a shirt. In fact it should be a requirement that further sponsorship should only be black and white going forward i'd suggest. Keep it subtle. They're lucky to be associated with us...not the other way round! Regards the shirt itself i reckon something along the lines of the early 80s kit would be my preference. But could also go for the original kit designed with some of that tasty Umbro Tailored by England fitted shirt sort of style. Looks less like a football shirt more like a nice polo that England shirt...and all the better it is for it. Would even consider wearing it outside of going to the game if they can get it right.
