  1. 1 minute 20 secs in https://edition.cnn.com/2026/02/06/politics/video/trump-truth-social-racist-obama-apes-vrtc Stephen Miller or one of his staff the White House are now trying to infer.
  2. Piece of piss to show dissent against ICE https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2026/feb/06/team-gb-winter-olympic-skier-gus-kenworthy-targets-ice-graphic-message-in-snow That snow shouldn’t be eaten…
  3. Nic putting a laughing emoji tells us everything https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce8r8y78g10o Tim Scott has learned that supporting white supremacists never helps your own cause, even if you mistakenly think you have some ideological common ground with them.
  4. Mowbray went through a spell of playing him as a central striker despite having managed him successfully at Blackburn coming in from the right.
  5. Beaten by what looks like Tendaulkar-like talent. To be that good and playing in the IPL facing 90mph bowlers at 14…blows the mind.
  6. I vote Lib Dem, have never voted Labour and ideologically I’m probably a One Nation Tory Nic you plank.
  7. Niccy is only there for the beaches and spicy food remember.
  8. Mind you, we won’t be saying that if they finish in 21st, a point above the skates in 22nd.
  9. It’ll be interesting to see if the Scots can curl one off successfully again in Cortina-Milan https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cq5ypxgl1l0o
  10. From Pelle, Tadic and Mane - I think we can understand their frustration.
  11. ‘Hey, that feels weird’
  12. There used to be blue lorry early 1980s in Woolston which delivered it to households. IIRC the firm was Snows, had a depot in Radstock Road.
  13. Which type did you used to deal with? https://www.coalmerchantsuk.co.uk/news/what-are-the-different-types-of-coal/?srsltid=AfmBOorp2c2j1jtmHM4Vt7bLaO6WAqQi64Xs6Kx1QbfqAdevp4aHuxbA
  14. Imagine how far they can piss?
  15. Apparently two of the Norwegian ski jumpers cheated last year. It might bring them a distance of 5m, but the pain of that….wonder if they can still use their old man as normal for other purposes during the event?
  16. Maybe the club are missing a trick in preparation? https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/winter-olympics/ski-jump-penis-injections-winter-olympics-2026-b2914655.html The trick seems very eye watering though 😵
  17. Had horrendous injuries and not what we need.
  18. Hopefully @coalman brought some lumps with him from his lorry to retaliate 😀 Burnley fans must have had some lumps left over from their Christmas stockings.
  19. Marketisation has made universities completely different to when we studied there regardless when they were part of the public sector landscape which is not the case these days. The decisions they make now are about attracting students, both domestic and international (as these pay much higher fees) and research funding, both public and commercial, plus spin outs. No time to act on any historic inclinations around ideologies, because with no capital grants around these days, they have to raise significant funds to repay borrowings on new buildings/labs and re-invest. Effectively, they are large not for profits with marketisation elements. In smaller and medium-sized towns, expansion has probably been too much and you get a clash of gown and town, but generally they’re an important part of local economies.
  20. Depends where you went - Sussex, Essex, possibly LSE of old (not now) known to be left wing. Exeter, Royal Holloway, Warwick - the biggest student societies were Conservatives and the academic payroll reflect this.
  21. I usually agree with your posts but the data doesn’t (yet - but has potential to change) support this about Labour switchers to Reform. Reform, unless they radically change their economic policies, will struggle to make some of those you mention formalise their switch in the ballot box at a GE https://www.politicshome.com/news/article/tory-voters-jumping-to-reform-biggest-switchers
  22. I don’t think the two Conservative Councillors who taught me would agree with that. But those were the days when the Conservative movement was the preserve of the better educated and before populism infected it.
  23. If you don’t know about something, try not to comment and wing it. https://www.art-k.co.uk/say-goodbye-to-starving-artists-arts-grads-are-thriving/
  24. Agree on both fronts although it doesn’t mean that will translate directly into seats. I suspect Reform will pile up some whopping majorities in some seats especially north, NE and Midlands but split the vote in others which will lead to Lib Dem, Green and some Labour victories.
  25. Was it a bit lively after Peach’s late leveller?
