St Lawrence Ground with its shorter boundaries tends to be high scoring. To you or I, yes, but the locals around here would not have a bar of that. The incendiary aspect is the modest amount of social housing (in amongst houses costing up towards £1m - affordability for families who have always lived here is as big an issue here as Devon or Cornwall). Also, the fact it’s in the middle of nowhere and far more basic means it has some deterrent built in for the asylum seekers who are coming for economic reasons. If you’re genuinely escaping persecution, the peace and quiet wont bother you.
