  1. Wacky...I wouldn't have thought Draper were overly enamoured with it, not exactly showing off their brand in all its glory
  2. I started going at the beginning of the 70s and I remember it was becoming quite common for supporters of numerous clubs to call their rivals “scum”. We mostly ignored them but some that went down to Milkin’s (think that was his name) testimonial in the late 60s saw the real start of the rivalry between us. It was also the when football hooliganism was becoming all the rage and, apparently, it was a bit ‘nawty’ that night. From that night some Saints fans changed ‘Pom’ for ‘scum’ and then referred to them as Scumpey. Tbh I can only remember them calling us scummers at first but some of ours were doing the same soon after - we should have just stuck with scumpey 😇
  3. I'm a member and and blocks 11-16 are blanked off, don't know if it is because myself and all 'friends and family' are adults and so restricts us from the family zone but otherwise it is sold out. There's around 1 thousand tickets left, over half of them either side of the away fans which will probably get snapped up by some young 'erberts if it makes general sale. Itchen North crowd didn't fancy that area then, may change next season if some don't get on with the Northam (will likely be forced to sit though).
  4. I’m no shirt-wearer but can’t really see much offensive about our new kits (other than a tacky sponsor), looked ropey on that leak but OK in-the-flesh. All about opinions…I think that Goztepe away shirt is fookin’ hideous
  5. Nah, that’s definitely a fella…but hey, whatever floats yer boat 🥴
  6. Yep, sure it was some associate of his, reported as around £7.5m a year at the time - wonder if Espanyol got paid up as their shirt sponsors were also LD Sports at the same time (think they were getting half what we were supposed to)
  7. They’ll prefer someone nice like Eddie Howe or Graham Potter, the press will champion Pep or Klopp, probably end up with Weigman……….
  8. “Ohhhhhhh…whennnnnnn……thhhhhheeeee………Saaaaaaaaaaaintszzzzzzzzzzzzzz………💤🥱😴
  9. There’s gonna be a lot of disappointed Japanese day trippers when they realise there’s no room at the St Mary’s Inn this season. ようこそ (yōkoso) Yukinari Sugawara
  10. As contract is over with Hummel and now Puma I can’t see them using last year’s and, as you say, unlikely to give a defunct shirt sponsor free coverage. I wouldn’t be surprised to see us play in the new training kit today.
  11. https://edition.cnn.com/2024/07/12/us/vending-machines-ammunition-alabama-texas-oklahoma/index.html
  12. 1 and 7 - 10 for the third kit
  13. Simple yet effective - our new Northam Wall are gonna urgently need some more chants, 90mins of OWTS and the usual skates crap will be painful. Cheers KWP, as mentioned, big boots to fill and strangely never did have a chant for him - Sugawara will get one immediately.
  14. Wrong colours but why not - if we're choosing our own I'd have to go with something like this* My family have been dockers for generations (what better way to represent Southampton), this fella looks a bit like my old docker grandad who used to go and queue up for work in the docks a hundred years ago *I know it's all a bit tongue-in-cheek really...
  15. It will be a bit lively out in the Costas on Sunday, no doubt the sweaties (in particular) will be bulk buying cheap knock-off Spanish shirts for the big day. Fingers crossed for sore heads for all the right reasons 🍻
  16. There's a few of these, this one also caters for the, ahem, rainbow Saints..........no Chievley services though
  17. I take a look but don’t post on the UI but franniesTache has come up with an excellent shout on there for the banner. A city skyline (could add the proposed Spitfire monument and stadium silhouette for good measure) along with just ‘Southampton FC’ would do nicely imo. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/southampton/forum/310385/oh-dear-northam-stand-getting-an-ultra-crowd-banner/#13
  18. Could look a bit naff...and short-lived if we have crash, burn and end up relegated this season...the last Est. 1885 one if I were choosing (but that font....).
  19. It's the massive boost to their corporate facilities that will probably make the biggest difference.
  20. Clear now that it's just a mock-up as it ain't Draper on front of shirt (and old logo used) but if it was I'd say the more-white version was the better design. Kits will never please everyone (thought last season was shit...the second time round!) but it's only for a year whatever it is.
  21. Nice looking shirt just as it is (those dark blue shorts would go nice with that) but surely just a mock-up with #thesaintscentre plastered across it?
  22. Maybe some would say ‘shielding’, some might say ‘obstruction’ Opinions, eh? 😎
  23. O shower of Scotland... Quite enjoyed the end of the game, no real quality but entertaining. Not a pen for me, Armstrong stepped across the defender and grabbed his shirt looking for it, just a 50-50 messy tangle really. Fair result, Hungarians 1 the "anyone-but-England" 0. ...and send them homeward tae think again
  24. But £55m to strengthen.
  25. What is Keegan up to these days?
