That's possibly the most hilarious thing I've read since this whole thing began. Are we absolutely sure he's not one of us?

No, they just buried it under a patio.

Antonio!

There is some interesting and deliberately broad language about who the Owners & Directors test applies to ... "Persons exercising “control” over the Club " http://www.football-league.co.uk/staticFiles/0/8c/0,,10794~166912,00.pdf Chainrai put them in to admin the first time round, in 2010 - that's not in doubt: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/9121791.stm Balram Chainrai, a Hong Kong-based businessman, became Pompey's fourth owner inside a year when he assumed control of the club in February 2010 before putting them in administration soon afte So I guess the question is whether Chainrai had any "control" at the time of the 2012 administration (or indeed the CSI administration which also qualifies as an "insolvency event"? It sounds like CSI never paid him a penny, and given that he was trying to bring AA in to undertake the administration process, he was perhaps (indirectly?) involved in the act of entering administration. So i'm idly speculating, and i can't quite remember the sequence of events back in February, but this has the potential to run on...

This post wins for being the most astute observation of the thread. Our pricing policy is dictated by our current stadium size. There is no point in pricing games such that thousands are locked out every week... that would leave money on the table. Just-about-almost filling the stadium suggests the pricing is pretty much spot on from a purely profit maximising perspective. A bigger stadium would allow us to charge less, and still achieve the same - or greater - revenues, and with more fans coming through the turnstiles. There are numerous reasons previously listed in similar threads why that would be a good thing beyond the immediate PxQ calculations of ticket sales. Will it happen? No idea.

How many will Lambert score this season................
saint si replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
8 more to bring up his ton for the club... what a milestone that'll be in only his fourth season. -
Without the takeover we wouldn't have had ANY players, manager, stadium, club...

Fantastic performances all over the pitch during that second half. Some of the link up play between Ramirez, Lallana and Lambert was absolutely phenomenal and that can only get better. Mayuka had a much better game than he did against United - we used his pace much more effectively out wide and he was unlucky not to get a goal today. Yoshi looked very solid, composed and decent pace. Gazza had little to do, but made a decent save at his near post when we were 1-0 down early in the second half. Hilarious when he took his gloves off to tie his shoelaces! Ramirez MOTM though - what a player we have (at £12m you'd hope so I suppose). Very strong and solid; great range of passing and superb vision. That flick through to Clyne was fantastic - he played another great first time ball to Lallana in the first half who was just offside. Everton away will be tough, but we've set down our marker now. Really excited for the rest of the season! COYR!

Does this mean we have to hate him now?

18 months?

Seriously, is there not a single person in Portsmouth capable of proof-reading?
-
11,767. Massive club.
-
Well we lost 6-1 away at Arsenal back in 2003. If we can emulate that season then no complaints!
-
Looks like just the first game if you click on a player (e.g. Morgan) and take a look at the graph

Himself, presumably?

Golden Member. Heh.

Well we all know that the skates don't want them foreign sorts taking over their club, so i'm sure they will fight it and vote with their feet by staying away from games if it were to happen. Or alternatively, they'll welcome them in with open arms and demand "investment" in the squad...
-
I think they mean they sold out when they were in the prem.
-
Well the calculator on my phone gets them both right. I am so proud.

According to the news, these appointments are necessary in order to meet the new terms of the EPP academies. So it's completely understandable, after all, the PFC academy has been so vital in developing the talent pool that Appleton now picks his squad from. Oh.
-
So they cannot hold on to the registration, but the player is still not free to sign for anyone else, as they were a registered player at the point the window closed.

Well I was thinking more literally... What if in March they conducted a survey of their members (all 1332 of them), and that of those that actually ot returned results (518), only 25% actually voted for fan ownership? And then they published the results as a download on the PST website? And then they later removed the file, presumably because the results didn't support their agenda?
-
Michael Appleton, the manager of Portsmouth whose supporters back the concept of mutual and democratic ownership. Hmm, wouldn't it be interesting if the Trust had undertaken a survey of its membership, and found that they DID NOT support outright fan ownership as is being claimed?

Playing the discrimination card in an attempt to gain the legal right to discriminate against other groups is DFCSB-like in its ambition and hypocrisy. Not to mention somewhat un-Christian...
