What a lovely man.RIP Kevin.

I have never seen so many shirt-grabs as I did yesterday.Do Saints strips have a little tag that says 'PULL HERE'? From where I was in the Itchen the Baggies defenders slide was also two-footed and I clearly saw his studs but Fox challenged well after the ball had gone!

Just been reading in my 'Local' paper that in 2005 last game of the season Baggies and Skates colluded to send us down by letting Baggies win.(I had almost forgotten this) If ever there was a time for 'retribution' then tomorrow is it. PS.It's my birthday today so a big win tomorrow will be an excellent present. COYS

St.G On the 'still' is that a small dog emerging from it's rear end?

Foy and Clattenberg are the worst I've seen this season so a 'new' face might just see us in a better light?

One of my best mates (and his Missus) are Baggies. They will be at the game and believe we will win!.We have to win this because we 'owe them one' after they played with 12 men up there. The high boot into Lallanas back was sufficient for a sending off but it didn't happen. Lets hope we get a decent Ref on saturday. Saints 4 - 0 win.

I'm shedding as many tears at this news as I did last Monday when I heard someone had died!

What a coincidence! I was in the local Chemists on Tuesday picking up a Prescription for my neighbours wife (he's 99 she's 83) when I was tapped on the shoulder by a Copper in full flak jacket, extendable truncheon, cuffs and all the bits and pieces hanging from his belt. I almost 'dropped one' as I was illegally parked. He said "Christ you're lucky to be supporting a decent team." (he had seen my Saints badge on my Fleece.) "You know Stoke? We're going down and you're on the way to Europe. I'll be there for the last game of the season and want to see you get a 'bucketful' just to kick the sh.t out of that wa....r Pulis. How the hell you let a three goal advantage at ours run away I'll never know" I've seen him a couple of times since and he gives me the 'Thumbs up'.

I was teaching (with others) on a residential NEBSS weekend at an education centre near Wolverhampton. We suspended all classes so that the Students could observe the tragedy and form their own opinions as the events unfolded.A truly heartrending day in the history of football.

Anyone else noticed a very strong likeness of SRL to George Best in the 'Old Programme' in the intro to MOTD? I've seen it quite a few times now and had to do a double-take and was surprised to find that the photo is of Best not Lambert. Ah!Well. I'll get me coat!!!!

I can't honestly believe there's a better Match Report than the Blog 'League 1 Minus 10' it has all the ingredients of a good read. -
Fabio? Who he?

How about 'Saints and Sinners'? After all some of them were right hard!

After 8 games, what are your thoughts...
hasper57saint replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
I haven't quite made my mind up yet. They both made major errors, Adkins with his subs v Manure to let them back into the game and Pochettinos tactics v QPR with 'hoofball' to SRL when we should have played it on the deck and exposed Samba et al for the crap that they are. I'll make my full comments at the end of the season. -
I don't think 'Predictions' is the apt word. Substitute it with 'Hopes' and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt Glasgow.

Saints 3 Liverpool 1 - Post Match Reactions
hasper57saint replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
I see Hodgson was at the game 'observing'. Were the Royal Navy also there on a recruiting drive for 'divers'? They could have got a top-drawer recruit with Suarez as he fell over even BEFORE he was touched. It was really nice to drive back to Shropshire with a permanent grin on our faces. I said in the 'Build-up' we could just steal this one but we absolutely tonked them. With a little more luck we could have had five at half time. PS. Artur blowing air kisses at Suarez was pure theatre. Anyone got a picture? -
Nigel Adkins to take Southampton to tribunal
hasper57saint replied to Only1Northam's topic in The Saints
As I said in an earlier post 'Until we see the details of the Contract' we can't make a true evaluation/decision. But let me assure you St.C 'Frustration of Contract' works both ways in Employment Law. No apologies for being pedantic! -
Nigel Adkins to take Southampton to tribunal
hasper57saint replied to Only1Northam's topic in The Saints
In my past life I taught Employment Law.For NA to succeed (before we all jump to conclusions) we would have to see his contract and ONLY THEN endeavour to act. His only route at present is to claim WRONGFUL DISMISSAL as the other two options (Constructive and Unfair) are outside his terms of reference. I can only conclude from what I've seen and heard that his claim will be dealt with by the Lawyers employed by the Managers Association (His Union) and until they make public their intentions we can only sit back and wait. PS. The EMPLOYER draws up the Contract and the Employee (and his Representative either accept or decline the offer made) I wish NA all the luck in the world as I've seen in my time some really devious Employers. -
Liverpool were very very lucky to finish with 11 players. On any other day 'Lord' Gerrard would have been given two yellow cards and Suarez a straight red for his deliberate back-heel into the spurs defenders leg because he lost the ball. If Dowd has any balls he will be quite aware of the shenanigans of certain Liverpool 'celebrities'. I just couldn't believe the amount of deliberate fouls they got away with. I'm quite optimistic for this one and reckon we'll steal it off them. 3 points to Saints.

Who is scheduled to Ref this game? It's a very long time since we had one who is 'balanced' in his decisions rather thanm 'biased'.No matter how we play SRL gets 'mauled' incessantly and somehow never gets the decision.
