  1. St Chalet

    The BBCC

Glad to see this has gone off the topic of the BBC onto education systems and class.
  2. Sold
  3. I was thinking about this earlier. I believe (In a Pardewesque way) we should have 2 formations, a 442 and a 451/433. With everyone fit this would line up: 442 Davis Butterfield Fonte Jaidi Harding Chamberlain Schneiderlin Hammond or Chaplow (I am undecided) Lallana Lambert Barnard In 451/433 formation Davis Butterfield Fonte Jaidi Harding Chamberlain Chaplow Schneiderlin Harding Lallana Lambert The one constant for me is that Guly makes neither team on current form.
  4. Phew, our recent bogey team dispatched!
  5. Very sad news. 36 is no age. RIP Dean
  6. I am after the Centenary 85 and Hummell 87. Both classic kits and I seem to remember living in those when I was a kid.
  7. Looks like another thread to put out of it's misery. Brighton troll posts Saints Fan bites Brighton troll replies Saints Fan trotts out the gay banter Repeat until closed.
  8. Please find attached the following lifted from the forum rules. Southampton Football Club The Saints - often referred to as the "Main Board", this is the forum for all Saints-related discussion, including the team, club finances, boardroom discussion, ticketing, transfer rumours, etc. We ask that supporters of other clubs do not post on this forum. Use "The Lounge" or "The Muppet Show" instead. This forum is now only visible to registered members to protect the load on the server at peak times, particularly matchdays. To view this forum, please register.
  9. Hopefully this will save a few more minutes. Certain posters should take note that this section of the forum is generally reserved for Saints fans to discuss "100% Southampton"
  10. Apologies to Pancake. You were first.
  11. If it is a complete history - All Saints, The complete guide to the players of Southampton Football Club. Edit: Just seen that rpb beat me to it. Gets my vote.
  12. This has gone slightly off-topic, can someone remind me whether this is the Cortese Vs Le Tissier Buildup or Match Thread?
  13. Yep that's the one. - I have a matchworn one from the Championship - A long sleve L - A short sleve XL
  14. I've seen him quite a few times and always thought he has been poor, to be fair he played the best I have seen today although never has any end product.
  15. Was it me or did the Watford #5 look like he had just walked off a building site into a yellow shirt? As for Reading, how Antonio doesn't play ahead of Kebe and especially McAnuff I have no idea. Brian Howard had a really poor game alongside Reading's best player Ledgerwood who is a loanee.
  16. I have 3x 2006 Yellow Flybe kit, reckoned they'd be pretty rare so picked them up when I could.
  17. At the time I am not 100% sure which user group applied to the person who was the last poster on the thread, or the person who administered the ban at the time. My statement was to confirm that it wasn't the current admins - Steve & Baj. The ban was for points accumulation.
  18. Oakley was a solid player for us. I will remember him for an amazing performance against Millwall in the 2003 cup run and also that goal against the skates. It constantly amazes me that we would not give a longer contract to him, when clubs with no knowledge of him would offer him more. The sort of player like Hammond, everyone moans about him but we are a better team with him playing. I await the annual David Prutton thread with relish
  19. Reading Vs Watford, 1 each. 12 points right there if we can get promoted this season.
  20. I do, have back to 1995 having picked up a few on ebay that I missed out on at the time. My mum gave away the junior ones that I had in the 80's. If anyone wants to sell any PM me, must be in good condition. Matthew Le Tissier (The poster not the man) likely has the biggest collection
  21. I've looked at the old thread, and as Saint_Clark has said it was the MODs that infracted and banned. To be fair to that decision there was no substantiation around the posts or indeed a source. I agree with Um Pahars, the decision would have been based on the need to stop the forum being sued, as opposed to upsetting the club. I for one I am glad you are back as your posts are normally a good read and usually come true (Excepting your Enoch Powell moment in respect of ex-pats).
  22. Agree, the point has been clarified. There are similar threads running in respect of UI footie match and libellous posts.
  23. Reading Vs Watford, scouting our opposition for next year.
  24. If you cannot be arsed to span two threads, Steve has explained the forums releationship with the club here. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?28337-Footie-Match-v-the-UI-forum&p=970085#post970085
  25. Interesting to read the views expressed here. When I joined as a Mod I as quite surprised how little Steve and Baj contributed to what was right and what was wrong, a basic technical introduction but basically we were told to do what we thought was right. Consequently a lot of the modding that gets done is based on my view as a forum user, reports and pm's from other users and hopefully common sense. FF post was utterly correct on one point, the forum quality is an exact reflection of the quality and standards of it's posters.
