At the time I am not 100% sure which user group applied to the person who was the last poster on the thread, or the person who administered the ban at the time. My statement was to confirm that it wasn't the current admins - Steve & Baj. The ban was for points accumulation.

Oakley was a solid player for us. I will remember him for an amazing performance against Millwall in the 2003 cup run and also that goal against the skates. It constantly amazes me that we would not give a longer contract to him, when clubs with no knowledge of him would offer him more. The sort of player like Hammond, everyone moans about him but we are a better team with him playing. I await the annual David Prutton thread with relish

I've looked at the old thread, and as Saint_Clark has said it was the MODs that infracted and banned. To be fair to that decision there was no substantiation around the posts or indeed a source. I agree with Um Pahars, the decision would have been based on the need to stop the forum being sued, as opposed to upsetting the club. I for one I am glad you are back as your posts are normally a good read and usually come true (Excepting your Enoch Powell moment in respect of ex-pats).

Agree, the point has been clarified. There are similar threads running in respect of UI footie match and libellous posts.

Interesting to read the views expressed here. When I joined as a Mod I as quite surprised how little Steve and Baj contributed to what was right and what was wrong, a basic technical introduction but basically we were told to do what we thought was right. Consequently a lot of the modding that gets done is based on my view as a forum user, reports and pm's from other users and hopefully common sense. FF post was utterly correct on one point, the forum quality is an exact reflection of the quality and standards of it's posters.

To be fair Pardew had 3 windows, Adkins has had one. Based on their first window Pardew wins.

I may have got mixed up over the past 700+ pages, but technically the club don't own the ground - Portpin do (or at least have full charge on it). The stumbling block is that land has a planning restriction on it. If it didn't you can imagine the football club would be liquidated as quick as a berry smoothie at a health spa.

I've renamed the thread. RIP and my thoughts are with the man's family.

Some of our fans really do need their heads looked at. 93rd minute we pass the ball in a triangle between Fonte, Harding and Chamberlain for about a minute. We are 1-0 and have a history of conceding late goals and these players are running the clock down in the middle of the pitch. Behind me come screams to knock it forward and get on with it, one of them even complained when Davis and Butterfield were wasting time in the second half - Unbelievable.

A very good idea IMHO. Would fit with the great man's vision. The new building is a real sign of intent. It will hopefully attract top junior and senior players alike.
