  2. Reading that article the implication is he may be ready for Brentford / Plymouth and Alex a maybe for Walsall.
  3. We have tended to play better in the second half, and even with a fully fit team I can't remember any games which we have killed off in the first half. By having these two players on the bench we can adjust to situation. Fast forward, if it were 0-0 at 60 minutes, would you have prefered them to have started or be sat on the bench?
  4. Bookies seem to believe this is a home banker. 10-1 Harlepool Win 5-1 Draw http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-one/southampton-v-hartlepool/winner Anyone believing that Uddersfield will beat us to second, can cash in at 5-1 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-one/w-o-brighton
  5. More worried about this than Brighton game if I am honest. 1) a game we are expected to win 2) at home where pressure and expectation is greater. That said, I think we will win 3-1.
  6. I am not sure whether there is form for this, but failing any tradition I'd suggest we put up a poll after the Plymouth game with a view to having POTS named before the Walsall game. We have the ability to have 14 options so the fairest way will likely be to base the candidates on the 14 with most # of appearances. And before anyone asks, it will be First Past the Post, not AV.
  7. Perhaps Hoddle could heal him?
  8. I actually said,"Pretty much the whole of the second half" eg the majority. The median of a half of football is 22.5 minutes, therefore 45 + 22.5 = 67.5. My point being, 66 is not late. Anyway, I happen to agree with you that a big difference this year is that we have started to score second half goals as opposed to concede them. Potentially this is an Adkins / fitness thing.
  9. 66 minutes, classic late goal sucker punch stuff http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?20235-66-75-82-And-85
  10. As does Rooney, must be a good trait.
  11. With pay-off hope now extinguished we can turn our attention to the Storrie court case. When / If found guilty (I appreciate there is a formality of a trial and strong probability of a CPS / HMRC ****-up) in which season will the points be deducted?
  12. RIP. He must hold the Britush record for gut laughs.
  13. To be fair, your defintion of 'late goal' was pretty much the whole of the second half.
  14. He actually reminds me of the 'Latvian' Michael Owen.
  15. Have just finished watching his interview on Saints Player. I have to say that I have rated him every time I have seen him pull on a Saints shirt, unfortunately that hasn't been as many times as it should have been in the past two years due to injury. From the games last season and glimpes of this it is clear he has a good partnership with Rickie and he has influenced games coming off the bench. From his interview today he came across as a focussed professional. Would love to see him him given another year as I think he CSDAJFU.
  16. this. Would like to see them or B'Mouth go up over Posh or Franchise.
  17. We have a few other Brighton threads running at the moment
  18. All this talk of rolling over to Huddersfield is crap. Last game at Withdean and Poyet will want to avenge this defeat.
  19. Poyet has form with us. When he was a player at Chelsea one of our players gave him an immense injury, North African fellow, not Kachoul whose name escapes me right now. We followed this up with taunts of "Where's your Poyet gone" at the next game. I always rated a Poyet as a player - at least until he moved to the Spuds, and Brighton have done very well this year. I wish them all the best, congratulate them on going nearly unbeaten for the season at home and wish them all the best with filling the Credit Card Stadium next year, hopefully they are on less than 26.9% APR. Anyway, I support Southampton - I've clearly fallen for this bogus derby ********. Great result and the sort of comeback and never say die that we have become used to under Adkins. As many have noted Hartlepool is our traditional banana skin.
  20. I'd go back to my first game of Saints Vs Coventry at the Dell September 1985, and wouldn't change a thing.
  21. Personally I am hoping the Ruskies buy, another year of LOL's nailed on.
  22. I took a two and a half year old to a game, he lasted about 25 minutes, Going to try again when he is 5.
  23. In other news I see that Saints' AVERAGE attendance this season is currently more than their HIGHEST http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/attend.html Also we have now overtaken them in the all-time average attendence rankings.
