Brighton Doing Us A Favour On Saturday Beating Huddersfield...!?!
St Chalet replied to dannysfc's topic in The Saints
Their fans confirm they are not obsessed with us http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?200191-BHA-©-v-Huddersfield-(PO)-Last-Ever-Score-Predictor...-(Withdean)& -

As it says. First round is the top 14 players by starts, I have swapped Seaborne in for Puncheon for obvious reasons. This first poll will run until after Plymouth game. If no one player gets 50% then we'll have a run-off poll with the top two with a view to getting a result by final Walsall game. You will note that the election system mirrors a little bit of AV and little bit of FPTP - just to keep you all happy

Markus Liebherr Tributes / Walsall Game Tribute
St Chalet replied to saint peach's topic in The Saints
I assume that it is too late to produce and raise funds for a flag, therefore a vocal / physical tribute seems the best option. Combining a few themes on here: - On 62 Minutes - A Standing Ovation - Singing of "Glory Glory Markus Liebherr" If we could agree this or something achievable we could get the club to consider it in the program and get the word to Echo, Solent and UI with a critical mass the rest of the stadium will follow - I am sure with a bit of prep even the Walsall fans might help out (or at least not try to drown it). -
Could have sworn the Yeovil game was weeks ago.

And generally every one of your posts points fun at others or veers off-topic. So lets call it 1-1 and let this move along.

Anyone who criticises our new found tactic of retaining the ball whilst leading a football match clearly never witnessed the games versus Everton or M'boro in our Prem relegation season followed by the Leeds debacle the season after. We really have some fans who believe that winning 5-0 scores you more than 3 points.

Nottingham Trent Uni or Lougborough for Art?
St Chalet replied to ericofarabia's topic in The Lounge
Employers would rate Loughborough higher than Nottingham Trent purely based on the fact that NT is an ex-poly. Don't know either, don't know whether that prejudice is valid - just how it is. -
Have to say the DVLA are fairly rapid. Sold a car recently and had to get my private plate off of it, plate change and sale had to be completed in serial order but it was around 2-3 days for each of the documents.

Assuming we win and Uddersfield lose then they would actually need a swing of at least 15 goals to level us, over the 3 remaining games that averages a winning margin of 5 goals. If anyone remembers the Billy Birmingham / 12th Man commentary parody - to Quote Ritchie "Technically possible, but pretty ****ing unlikely".
-
Just when you thought it couldn't get any funnier. This is a farce of Pinnacle proportions.

Based on appearances the 14 nominations would be: Lambert Davis Fonte Hammond Harding Butterfield Lallana Jaidi Barnard Chaplow Schneiderlin Guly Chamberlain Puncheon* *Given that I would delete any thread that named Puncheon as our player of the season that leaves Seaborne with the remaing berth Any spectactular ommissions from that list?

Reading that article the implication is he may be ready for Brentford / Plymouth and Alex a maybe for Walsall.

We have tended to play better in the second half, and even with a fully fit team I can't remember any games which we have killed off in the first half. By having these two players on the bench we can adjust to situation. Fast forward, if it were 0-0 at 60 minutes, would you have prefered them to have started or be sat on the bench?

Bookies seem to believe this is a home banker. 10-1 Harlepool Win 5-1 Draw http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-one/southampton-v-hartlepool/winner Anyone believing that Uddersfield will beat us to second, can cash in at 5-1 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/league-one/w-o-brighton

More worried about this than Brighton game if I am honest. 1) a game we are expected to win 2) at home where pressure and expectation is greater. That said, I think we will win 3-1.
-
I am not sure whether there is form for this, but failing any tradition I'd suggest we put up a poll after the Plymouth game with a view to having POTS named before the Walsall game. We have the ability to have 14 options so the fairest way will likely be to base the candidates on the 14 with most # of appearances. And before anyone asks, it will be First Past the Post, not AV.

Perhaps Hoddle could heal him?

I actually said,"Pretty much the whole of the second half" eg the majority. The median of a half of football is 22.5 minutes, therefore 45 + 22.5 = 67.5. My point being, 66 is not late. Anyway, I happen to agree with you that a big difference this year is that we have started to score second half goals as opposed to concede them. Potentially this is an Adkins / fitness thing.

66 minutes, classic late goal sucker punch stuff http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?20235-66-75-82-And-85
