If the debt is undisputed (eg a contractual right) the actual recourse is via a Statutory Demand followed by a Winding Up Petition to the courts. The Skates problem is compounded by the sheer complexity of thier situation. It is very suspicious that the Skates have settled the mortgage on Fratton Park. I would have thought that the mortgage would have been a far less pressing commitment than other short term liabilities.
