  1. Se'-drik, I believe. Sorry.
  2. Had read he was off to Sunderland.
  3. I will happily recommend 'The Strand' near Debenhams as a good pre/post match pub. Really friendly, relaxed atmosphere and convenient location just off the city centre.
  4. To quote a plastic Scouse from our factory floor. "How the f**k can Saints find all these players when we keep paying over the odds?" I like the assumption that because we are buying them they will be good.
  5. Join a more established side or never be first choice? F**k the national team.
  6. So yes, more then good money and that's without factoring in Promotion wage rise clauses. Incidentally, Joey Barton on £90k a week. Jesus wept.
  7. It will also mean they would have less to potentially offer any new player.... assuming they are needing to stick to a 'competitive' budget. One of the themes of Mike Ashley's management has been trimming costs in recent years. At QPR i'm also certain that Austin will have been on very, very competitive money already. So we would have to pay well regardless of our opposition for his signature.
  8. That does look better on the mannequin. It's growing on me.
  9. Bright? Early? Worm? It's going to be a bizarre yellow/sky blue/brown thing isn't it.
  10. I will happily hold up my hands as something of a luddite. I found him utterly bewildering to begin with and still somewhat comical (take his failed attempts at humour during the awards ceremony speech) yet, thankfully while he speaks a complete pile of fluff under his direction the club is thriving. The results speak louder then his clichés ever could.
  11. Yep. Such a shame. Imagine Andy Millman from Extras, when he is trying to fight above the material he has created. Not a tosser as such.... (Leave the vulgarities at the door....) Dame Ellen MacArthur. Shouldn't be a surprise, but as someone who had the mental strength to survive record breaking solo sailing she is single minded, abrasive, uncompromising and very difficult to like. But by christ you respect her.
  12. You print the T-Shirts, i'll found the protest group CB Fry..... off you go now.......
  13. I have no relatives with a season ticket, or friends that can reliably help. £25 puts me ahead of those who are not members or season ticket holders. I hope it will help, if not then it will be a one time purchase. Utterly scorning it without trying is however utterly pointless.
  14. If I can get access to games that I otherwise wouldn't have chance to attend then £25 is fair, whether or not that is the case I can assess at the end of the year.
  15. There have been games both home and away when even as a Season ticket holder last year I struggled to get tickets for (Extra tickets for home games, missing out on away tickets) because you needed to be so quick off the mark. Membership will give me a fighting chance for some of the home and away games I would like to go to, plus I do not mind paying £25 for that privilage. I can understand why some people would object to it but I have no such feeling.
  16. That is quite astonishing. Rated above clubs who have been European Champions, are effectively national institutions.... Being in the Premier League really can be a blessing, but also a curse for being so competitive.
  17. Yes, this was mentioned by someone from the ticket office when they asked why I hadn't renewed my season ticket. A good idea, will help keep me in the loop.
  18. That is quite pathetic. But, give him an open wallet.....
  19. The equaliser against Blackpool in the Championship Rickie Lambert in injury time too. That took the roof off! We avoided defeat, but remained undefeated at home in a run that extended to a calendar year between defeats to Rochdale in League One and Bristol City in the Championship.
  20. Aside from the goal for Rickie v the Skates in the cup, two stick in my mind. 1) Rickie Lambert v Huddersfield. A thumping strike on the turn for a man who was out of form at the time. He utterly smashed the ball in instinctively against one of the strongest sides in the league to seal a 4-1 home victory when we were 1-0 down. 2) Chaplow v Peterborough Again, a great win against one of the strongest sides in League 1. A devastating break crossed into the box with Chappy finishing instinctively while at full stride, he ended up in the back of the net with the ball. Wonderful. A beautiful goal from one of my favourite players at the time. Quite surprised his goal v Man Utd hasn't yet been mentioned. That is an honourable mention. The two above goals showed that we had finally asserted ourself as onee of the best sides in League 1, we had recovered from the blip at the end of Pardew's time and Nigel Adkins had us finally capable of going up. It is so easy in hindsight to forget just how sh*te our start to that season was. (Supersonic you idiot i'm looking at you. We were in the bottom three at the end of September, 500 minutes without a goal and you have the temerity to say Adkins failed in getting us promoted in merely second place!? F**k off)
  21. Aside from that Newcastle game, he was quite sh*te. Would rather have Djuricic.
  22. Hmmm. I respect the benefit he has made since being here and do not begrudge him a move to a level of football we cannot currently provide. He could have caused a nightmare last summer but instead he stayed and was arguably our player of the season. I will wish him well so long as he genuinely progresses himself with his move. He is clearly Champions League standard. Apologies for the trolling. Xx
