  1. One of those who at times can look unplayable (In a less competitive league) but cannot do it consistently. Probably why he didn't get a look in first time around.
  2. Fingers crossed that there is some fire to go with this smoke.
  3. To repeat old posts: Just. get. it. done. A foundation to move on.
  4. I would suggest that for other leagues the top scorers chart are more a consistent record of quality.
  5. He did indeed. As I say, some do, some don't. For every Ronaldo mk 1 or Luis Suarez you get an Alves a Bas Dost, a Mounir El Hamdaoui or Bjorn Vleminckx. At best alright, at worst shocking. The league is very patchy.... hence the um-ing and ah-ing over things.
  6. Lets not mention Afonso Alves. Some from the Netherlands can do it, others not so much.
  7. Chambers is excellent. One of the good things about our academy is how we can turn out such physically mature yet able footballers. Shaw, Chambers, Gallagher. All within a short period. That Chambers could keep out Clyne is an absolute achievement. He has been linked to Arsenal for a reason, another season should see him flourish further and leave Clyne behind. Should he go though Clyne is a more then able premier league level right back. Comparing him to Shaw is wrong though, Shaw is a revelation, Chambers is not in the same league.
  8. Destiny? Strange word to use.
  9. Ensuring that he says "had it not been for Southampton this wouldn't have been possible" in every interview. A silver spoon is to be given as payment every time this is not upheld.

  11. I prefer to ask them if they'll be supporting Real Madrid.
  12. I see. Can we have our stripes back? Pretty please?
  13. I know what you mean, but it's not fair to compare all Englishmen as the same so i'm happy to give the guy more then a chance on the basis of his record.
  14. No problem with you sticking around, but why did you post in argument to yourself? How can you possibly explain that? Skirting this is not going to do you any good. Unless you can explain this you have no credibility i'm afraid.
  15. Well, the one offer went through very quickly. It broke like a bolt from the blue. The others have been lingering for weeks with no progress regardless of the hyperbole. You keep clutching.
  16. Considering that we have only accepted one offer for a player who actually wanted to go........
  17. No, your point is irrelevant. I just find it highly amusing that you are disagreeing with yourself!
  18. Well, he did his best to string us along!
  19. Already in the Rickie to Liverpool thread but it's fair to be on it's own rather then lost. A fair statement from a modest man who is achieving everything he could have ever dreamt. We benefited massively from his time with us, just wish it could have been longer. He will always have my best wishes, hope to be able to buy him a drink sometime.
  20. Utterly fair statement. Good luck Rickie.
  21. Dude, you've just quoted yourself.....
  22. Glad the hysteria hasn't clouded your judgement that much. Fingers crossed for Koeman, him with a decent budget and hand on the academy tiller will be a shot in the arm.
  23. I would say takes one to know one..... But that would be a little harsh.
  24. With no Guly either this could be interesting. Give it to Boruc.
  25. No, clearly Marians!
