  1. Cleverley off for Wilshere. Thank heaven's he's gone!
  2. Hart there, coming off the line by a long way and coliding with the german defender. What was he thinking? Again, bad defensive organisation.
  3. I'll let you know what it's like in due course mate.
  4. Hopefully for Rooney, he has Manchester United colleagues on the pitch with him and is showing little. Having Adam and Lambert together would help them both.
  5. Sweden 2-1 Portugal (2-2) 2 in quick succession for the Swedes.
  6. Townsend just struck the post from 30 yards!!! He's a blunt weapon that boy. England shading it at the moment but not looking too imaginative.
  7. You are very welcome Jean-Luc.
  8. Only if you are not around paperboy.
  9. Considering that someone on here earlier asked for a stream, not everyone is. I assume you will sneer in the same way at those detailing substitutions? Besides, wanted to balance out the 'Adam is having a quiet one' sentiment from earlier by praising some of the good.
  10. Great bit of skill from Adam for a cross. Shortly after he was in a great position for a floated/deflected cross across the goal mouth.
  11. Right, positive head on. Rickie will come on and score.
  12. Germany's first bit of pressure. 0-1.
  13. Boooooooo France 2-0 Ukraine (2-2)
  14. Once Rickie is on he'll have a better chance. At least they don't have him taking corners now.
  15. This again. I don't doubt that Red Bull would like the exposure of a Premier League side. As for not changing colours, Red Bull favour mainly white with red trim. At least that would reflect a distinct policy rather then the unexplained change we have.
  16. Yes, I didn't phrase that particularly well for the point I was trying to make. Given the respective difference in standing we currently have (even greater then last season) would a defeat to Barton Rovers hurt their pride more then a defeat to us? Yes, it can work both ways though, especially as we seem to be trying to fast track players forward leaving some of the lower age group teams a little exposed.
  17. Poor lamb.
  18. Nonsense. People get upset when they are not made to feel special. You treat users on here as mere statistics/notches on a bedpost. What tarts do you think we are? And my blogs? I havn't posted one in months. No intention of for a while either unless something a little different comes to mind. When we are in the media and opinion pieces are ten a penny there's little point in adding to the noise.
  19. What would be more embarrassing for them? A hammering by us or a defeat to 'Barton Rovers?'
  20. Very good.
  21. Oh that's it! The guy who sent out all the friend requests to anyone and everyone. I checked your profile, saw I didn't know you from Adam and politely declined!! Weirdo.
  22. Sorry, who are you again?
  23. Which has a certain logic to it, particularly given the way Lambert found Welbeck in the Moldova game with his passing. Given the tactical set up though Jay was never going to fit, too wide out to be a foil for another striker despite not strictly being a winger either. Saints play an extremely fluid forward three who can interchange position passed on the requirement at the time. England on friday night where rigid, inflexible and unimaginative. It didn't allow Jay to shine and highlighted the good things that we are doing currently to maximise the talent we have. As per your original point it also meant that Jay would never have been forward enough in the first place to play the Welbeck role, which is a great pity. Lallana suffered a little for it too, immediately pressing Chile from kick off only for him to look behind after they passed upfield to see he was 40 yards further up then anyone down the right-hand side making his pressing effort redundant. Thankfully his more 'all action' combative style enabled him to get a foothold that Jay otherwise couldn't.
  24. Agreed. This call up really didn't make sense to me, he was playing well without setting the world alight and had scored a few but there were more obvious choices within our squad for selection. It may just highlight how short England are up front. He didn't play brilliantly v Chile in an unfamiliar line-up and tactical plan meaning he has now been set aside, I hope it will not effect his confidence too much as he does seem to need it to thrive.
