Well, considering that Nicola himself had said there are some 'parties' at work who are trying to undermine the club I would say this rumour cropping up has a familiar feel to it.

I doubt it would be Crouch. He always struck me as a fan who wanted the club to thrive and took control when he felt he could offer something. He would surely recognise that under Cortese/The Liebherr family we have better backing then many clubs could ever dream of.

Rumours like this have been persisting now for a while in various guises. Do they seriously expect there to be a welcoming embracing fanbase if they were ever in a position to take over? Or is this just a complete load of hogwash?

One of the worst things we could do is advertise to rival teams (who our targets are more then likely playing for) that we have 10 million to spend. Their prices would instantly treble.
