They are desperate. They know it’s not going to happen so it’s almost a “let’s unnerve them before the final”. They are a pathetic club. I keep saying for all our alleged stuff it isn’t a great look, but Middlesbrough will come out no better. The club who leaked to the media. The club who riled their fan base up. The club that spread misinformation. The club that lost fairly and still couldn’t take it. The club that still tried to influence an independent panel. The club now trying to undermine and ruin another clubs big day.

Even if it’s over Middlesbrough and the national press will be doing everything to unsettle Saints ahead of Saturday.

Wrapped up by 16:00 tomorrow, but not before Middlesbrough have put a couple new drip fed stories into the press tomorrow morning.

This will rumble on for a while. Steve Gibson will still want money out of Southampton for no real reason. Even if you get a points deduction and the case is closed he’ll be going on about this for a while.

If it was a legal hearing and had been leaked it would’ve been inadmissible. Boro have played to the press and largely thrown their toys out the pram.

I don’t actually think Middlesbrough have much in the way of evidence aside from a minor breach. Overall I think they will come out of this with a worse reputation than Southampton.

I’d be in tears if I managed a team from second to fifth and picked up only two wins in the last eleven. That is the reason they aren’t going up this season. Not because of Saints.

Have a read, if Southampton were kicked out: - EFL would have legal battles with the broadcasters. - Not to mention Middlesbrough would kick off if Hull got a bye to the Premier League. - Hull if they don’t get a bye to the Premier League. - Millwall would kick off if Middlesbrough get a bye to the play off final despite losing fair and square. - Wrexham for potentially not being included as the new fourth play off team. - Finally, Southampton - probably against the EFL and Middlesbrough, the club will 100% do something towards Boro for their handling of this whole unfair through the media, the leaks and their coercion of the independent panel. We’re in the final, we’ll be there on Saturday, and we’ll be a Premier League club by Saturday night. We’ll get a suspended points deduction for the EFL and probably a fine of £1m.

So let’s play a game. What story are Middlesbrough going to leak to the media today to prolong this saga?

Can’t wait until we’re find £1m and get a suspended three point deduction from the EFL, and gain promotion; but Middlesbrough get a police enquiry for a GDPR breach and are find £5m.
