I think he’s doing a job to keep Larin out the team. Fair play to him, thought he looked really lively today and offered a lot of flexibility across the central and wide positions, he deserved a goal today.

Well I’ll say it, Bragg was largely excellent today, a bit of luck with the goal but good to see and was pretty dominant in the centre with Ward-Prowse. I must say QPR were largely ineffective in the centre, and so it turns out everywhere else. Manning and Dobbin I thought were really good too. Dobbin keeping Larin out the team comfortably, it’ll be a fight to get his place back. Man of the match I’d be half inclined to give to Pierce Charles, some of the stops he made were excellent. I mean wow!

Jason Wilcox is a bit of a scapegoat in all this like Michael Carrick. He and his team should shoulder some of the blame though for their transfer business. Did they really need to spend £200M on three CMs in Santos, Tielemans and Baleba? Nope. The fact their defence has hardly changed over the last five years should speak volumes. It’s not difficult to see. The club needs a hard reset. They need to slowly bin off the troublemakers that think they’re bigger than they are and get behind a manager and stick with them for a few seasons like Arsenal did with Arteta and evolve. If they don’t do one of those then then shit hilarious cycle will go on.

In the last fourteen years (since Adkins promotion) of all the players that left, how many could you say went on to have good careers? How many won trophies? How many careers stalled and came crashing down to Earth? Taylor Harwood-Bellis was good for us, very good. Might just be a case of him biding his time. If he went there expecting to play and he’s being left out then that’s for him to deal with. I personally hope he does well, can’t fault his passion and drive.

Is FM really that different year on year? Not a wind up, a genuine question, I’ve previously had FM 2014, 2016, 2018, 2022 and 2024. Aside from minor colour changes and a few relatively minor changes I’ve never seen a great deal of difference - especially between the last two.
