  1. Caulker in the starting line up, but no Juanmi, Clasie or Targett in the squad. Gazza, Mugabi, Debayo, Gape, McCarthy, Caulker, McQueen, Little, Seager, Hesketh, Sims.
  2. I thought it was dedicated to one of their players for having a little wedge like haircut that looked like a Mars Bar balanced on his head, in the same manner as the old song about Jason Lee (?) started by Baddiel and Skinner ... "He's got a pineapple on his head" ... but alas it was just a bunch of saps acting like a bunch of saps!!
  3. 'Every step has been worth it to come home. This is home,' Benali said at half-time during Southampton's 4-0 romp against Newcastle. 'The pain and discomfort I've experienced on this challenge has been quite often and quite difficult and tough, but I've had my wife and children and my support team have been absolutely increible. They've kept me going. 'The pain that I've experienced is nothing compared to anyone goes through to see a loved one either suffering from cancer or dying from cancer, so I want to help try and help bring an end to cancer. Such wonderful words at the end of a gruelling 21 days that he had just endured. Here's a clip of what he put himself through .... not a dry eye in the house. 4. Even more amazing is the fact that he RAN on average 50 miles a day. 2 Marathons a day ..... absolutely incredible. Also as mentioned above, an utter disgrace that more (any?) money wasn't donated by each of The Prem Clubs he visited. A very worthy winner of the award. Well done Franny.
  5. Glad the travelling support had plenty to cheer.
  6. Sounds like a cracking atmosphere from the Saints following!! Sounds like a shoot on site policy .... now Mane 2-0!!
  7. I wish they would **** off printing the sheet out like that. Who gives a flying feck about squad numbers ... show it as per the formation FFS.
  8. Following on from last Saturday's tribute to SRL, probably the loudest song on Sunday, to be Luke Shaw to tune of Hey Jude? Which would be pretty ironic as I think he'd have got plenty of abuse if he'd played, judging by the jeers and You Fat Bastard chants aimed at him at OT when he was subbed in January!! Might have missed it, but has anybody mentioned that "There's Only One Markus Liebherr " gets a pretty healthy response a couple of times a game.
  9. Was the loan period all season or till Jan? Was there a fee set for purchase if we wanted to? Possibly lined up as a longer term replacement for Jose, but how much are we prepared to pay for a back up defender? Being out of Europe so early may be a deciding factor on not keeping him.
  10. Unfortunately with Man U playing CL match tonight in Holland and our game not till Sunday, no advantage gained for us unless PSV turn into a bunch of cloggers instead of Cloggies, and crock a few Utd players!! It's probably as quick to get to Eindhoven as it Southampton!! Presumably once they've played their match tonight, the press can get their teeth into The LVG V Koeman rivalry again. Hopefully Koeman will be trying extra hard to get one over on the obscenely large foreheaded gimp.
  11. Schexxy Tantric Football ... just wish we'd speed things up a bit and come first for a change
  12. From where I was stood I thought we did pretty well, fortunately the guys around me joined in more often than not when any chants got going. But that is one of the problems too many gaps between the singers and by the time songs had filtered through to us, the originators had moved onto a new song, which is why a long slow OWTS is virtually the only time we got singing in unison. WBA fans were pretty dire, but they had even less than us to cheer about!!
  13. After The High Press is this our new tactic ... The Stretch?
  14. Sorry about late reply, out all day and no Internet Access. Thanks for the offer, but its been sorted out already, sure there will be other takers!! Cheers Eric
  15. On the off chance that anymore spare tickets crop up, mate of mine just returned to UK from Dubai missed out on getting tickets. Looking for Adult and Child, but 2 Adults would be fine. Cheers
  16. Thanks for that, I'll be going via Snow Hill so will give the area the once over and check for wet fart smells first though!!
  17. Not seen the price but are they the usual 50 odd quid .... and for a Televised game. Maybe the club took the minimum allocation to prevent too many people being fleeced by the Chelski Mafia!!
  18. Odd .... thought I'd opened The WBA Build Up Thread, not some old washer woman nagging site Looking at travelling down from Lancs by train, but read so many different options at changing at New St, Snow Hill, Smethwich something or other. Any top tips for best stations to get off and obviously any info on decent (real ale) boozers would help
  19. Funniest post ever!! At least I'm hoping it was meant to be funny
  20. Happy Days ... transfer window successfully closed and my WBA arrived today. P1ssed óff at having to endure a blank weekend next week whilst on my annual trip back home though.
  21. Unless he goes throwing toys out of the pram on social media or through the press and knuckles down like Morgan did last year he'll be fine. He doesn't seem to upset the players yet if Fonte's interview hoping he stays is anything to go by. I can imagine Koeman has given him a bit of an earful though!! A rousing "He's The Kenyan etc ...." will hopefully let him know we are on his side .... if he gives 100%
  22. I think we can have an Anti Spurs Love In with The WBA fans. Who the eff are Tottenham Hotspur .....
  23. Still waiting, but I only ordered on Monday
  24. Over lapping Fullbacks is what we are missing. All too often no option for an early wide ball, and when Targett did get wide he didn't seem to have the confidence to beat his man and get to the byline to make the killer ball, but early floaty easy to defend crosses all the time.
