  1. Any of Franny's 11 Reds were good value. If you are going to et sent off make sure it's worth it!! Wasn't there another one like the one above V West Ham, Paulo Futre launched into the advertising boards and Franny didn't even look at the ref, just started walking off before the red was even brandished~!!
  2. Had to Google him, but nothing like that!! Getting up at 0430 for work with an 1130 finish here and Saturday is a school night here!! Couldn't join my buddies as they'd been on the sauce all day at The Golf and don't haver the same restrictions as me workwise :-(
  3. A hard fought and deserved win. Nice little early birthday present for me ... even if I feel about 10 years older, having to watch it sober. Nerves shredded to bits now!!
  4. Atmosphere sounds as Flat as A Pancake, strange.
  5. Sign of a great team - ability to win when not playing particularly well!!
  6. Have they booked their Boat for Their Top 4 Finish Party on The Thames yet? Or are they not so presumptuous as they were in The Promotion Campaign with us
  7. Hopefully The MOTM curse is a thing of history now. Well Done Mr K and all of your backroom staff. Well deserved.
  8. Yep .... we an't go spunking 18 million on a midfielder. That's Van Dijk and Austin with some change leftover, or from older threads 1 1/2 Schlongs!!
  9. A chance for the fans to give a proper farewell to SRL as well.
  10. Bobby Stokes scored 2 on his debut V Burnley Apr 1969. Don't think they were early on in the match though I reckon Graham Baker's must be the quickest at the start of a match.
  11. He certainly seemed to be enjoying the end of match celebrations at the end of the match in front of the away fans yesterday. Back in the fold?
  12. His almighty leap to pluck the ball out of the gloomy Manchester sky near the end of the match to steady things down made me leap to my feet and cheer as if I was celebrating a goal. Exactly what a defence wants to see from their keeper.
  13. As said above, always seems to be the man giving last minute instructions to oncoming substitutes. Certainly seems to be one to watch out for in the future. Hope we can keep hold of him.
  14. Sue, Is this wi-Fi spot the new G Spot? ... sounds like it
  15. 0 to 20 (goals) by the end of the season would be fine ;-)
  16. Paul Goddard always scored against us!! QPR, WHU inc HT in 81, Newcastle, Derby and Ipswich. At least 9 goals in total against us between 1980 - 94 with 5 different clubs .... surely the winner!! Another who stands out was Gary Speed (RIP) always seemed to score against us. Leeds, Everton (inc a hat trick) and Newcastle. Another who stands out was .
  17. The Bulls Head (I think) Right outside Piccadilly Station and Metro. Last Jan they had Ringwoods Boondoggle on, amongst about 5 Real Ales, which was nice Not too keen on large groups or colours, so keep coat done up!! Friendly locals and staff.
  18. Linda Lovelace.
  19. Absolutely magnificent. He had more Passion for the game in his little finger than any of the jumped upped pansies have nowadays. This video should be a must for every club to show to players starting in the academy ...... and even more so to the present squad who seemed to think we'ed made it with last season's performances and beating Chelsea this year. Made it .... show me where you are at the end of the season chumps.
  20. Hope the fans get behind The Saints with positive support, rather than be anti Poch vitriol (although he shouldn't escape scot free!!) I think Toby will be in for some stick as well, which will be a shame, but end of the day he was a bit two faced, ( or did we not do enough thinking we'd get him on the cheap?) A bit of bouncebackability needed for this one, Big Vic and the rest of the midfield needs to be up for this one to match the press we can expect. 2-1 to us ... he says more in hope than belief!!
  21. Look what the cat dragged in What do we owe the unexpected pleasure? The old place needs a bit of livening up - are you up to it?
  22. From the thread title I assumed it would be to do with Sh!tesmuffs accounting again.
  23. Yep .... Spurs (Cockerals), Millwall,(Lions) Norwich (Canaries), Wolves and Watford (Hornets) but we ran out of luck with Arsenal not be Asses 1976 from the 5th round to the semis had WBA (Throstles) Bradford City (Bantams) and Palace (Eagles) Stick a Pony or a Monkey on Saints having a good cup run this year ;-)
  24. Time for the club to wheel out a load of footage from The 76 Final, and Poen Top Bus and Civic Centre Welcome and show it to the team - show them what An FA Cup Final win means. Their chance to be Southampton Legends and mark The 40th Anniversary of that win in style!! Palace at home .... not only did we beat them in The Semi Final, but they play in Claret and Blue - the same as our 3rd round opponents that year Aston Villa. IT'S OUR YEAR I TELL YA
