Although a draw would maybe have been a better result?
  3. That's amazingly impressive - but I wish you hadn't done it

  5. Thing is... its not a league one team. That why they're not there.
  6. We're back to Lucy Pinder then?
  7. Hope he can time his runs
  8. "At the end of the day the result isn't important at this stage. We've got a squad of players at this football club and until next week its about getting those players fit and keeping them injury free. We've got a few knocks before todays game and three players didn't get on the bus today. We've got a first class medical and fitness team here and we'll be looking to get those players ready for selection as soon as possible. Thats what you're looking for as a manager - a full squad of players, hungry for success and competing for places. There were a lot of positives from today's game; we passed the ball around and kept possession ever so well, especially in the first half, we've scored two terrific goals and we've picked up no more knocks. The first goal was something we've been working on in training and as a manager its satisfying to see the players take that into the game. Some of our defensive discipline was a little bit disrupted in the second half by the changes we made, but thats something we'll look at, we'll look through the film of the game, we'll analyse where we can do better and we'll get everything ready for next weekend. As you know we're trying to get some new faces into the building but were taking our time to get that right and make sure we add real quality to the good squad we've already got in place here." 9. I havent received one yet - I didn't know we were getting them?
  10. disagree; stupid; has he signed yet?
  11. Maybe that's why he's considering Stoke as well as Saints
  12. Reeves was OK, nothing more or less, but certainly didn't look out of place. It's good to see him getting involved, and NA must think he's worth a look at pre-season which is more good news for the academy set up
  13. Thoughts from the game - it's taken me this long to get onto the Internet. First half team was strong and confident, special mention for Holmes, Bartoz, Fonte, DC and especially Lallana who was different class. Morgan looked a bit unconcerned, certainly not up for it. The second half team were nothing like the first half team and struggled for long periods. They had no shape and a midfield that included Dan Harding didn't really work despite good effort. Oxo was another one who didn't look up for it, worryingly it looked like his mind was elsewhere. The team, Nigel and Nicola were all happy to talk to, and have photos with the few Saints fans there - they collectively seemed relaxed and "together"
  14. Couldn't find the date for the fixture - has it not been fixed yet?
  15. No - I can confirm that according to sources this is alleged to be understood
  16. He's still young and could yet develop into a very good player. He was getting games so must have had something - but Nigel presumably needs to free up room on the bus
  17. One thing that has always bugged me in the past has been the way that we only seem to arrive at our fist choice team on the opening day of the season after going through 5 - 6 pre season games with any number of permutations including academy boys and reserves. I can see the justification in this for 2-3 games maybe - you need to see how some players react to the first team, but surely it would be beneficial to go into the first fixture having played at least 2 games with your first choice 11?
  18. Seems quite a jump to this from "Dougie Freedman has made enquiries for Nottingham Forest striker Joe Garner and Southampton winger Oscar Gobern"
  19. This isn't Saints news
  20. Bottom line is - if you're faced with staying in the championship and getting games every week OR going to a top Premiership side with your whole career ahead of you, to possibly play in the Champions league and to be on silly money - financially sorted for life....what do you do? Its not that difficult
  21. Lets not knock Messi - lets be fair, he has the potential to become another Lallana
