I'm sure this post doesn't fall into the knee jerk, attention seeking, insulting to prove a more worthy supporter, completely not ITK while claiming to be, or your view doesn't count because its not the same as mine categories that we normally comply with? On a serious note - excellent point, and good luck to Theo. We should be realistic, and pleased for these guys, even if they don't play for Saints, as disappointing as that might be.

I love Harding's enthusiasm (sometimes bordering on the Franny level), but much prefer Dickson as a footballer for the same reasons as ManorHouse gives

At half time I thought we just, and only just, deserved to be in front. It didn't feel like we were really on top. The second goal changed the atmosphere and then after the third - well it was Brazil wasn't it?! I cant remember feeling so relaxed about a result and just waiting for the next goal. It could have been double figures. Great all round, clean sheet, so many shots on goal. Special mention for Lallana and Chaplow...and well done Guly. A chance to get some momentum now.

After a million years of watching Saints I still dont know what to expect each time I turn up, maybe thats footie not Saints. We should run out comfortable 3-0 winners with confidence surging through the side. Just as likely we'll concede a soft early goal, go all disjointed and flap around for 85 mins trying in vain to get back into it. We'll see. A bit of steady consistently good performing would be great but we're probably at least a good quality striker, CB and two CMs away from being able to get to that stage. Perhaps the cheque book will come out next week?
