I entirely agree but he had a good season in the Prem before he was injured.

According to NA a small calf tear revealed by a scan. On the radio yesterday but I was at the game

South Today are a joke - with the obnoxious Sally Taylor and the other condescending twerp who was always banging on about the wonderful things at Fratton Park - then they went bust. Wasn't that silly cow on the Football League show one of their non reporters some whle back

Tough game against a hard battling Oldham side. Some parts were really good and some parts really awful but 3 points were gained. We will not be top by the end of october as I hoped (thanks to the Huddersfield result) but we will be in the top 6. Head disappearing below parapet.

Poor performance overall. Some of the things he does are fabulous and the next minute he is just dire. I do not want to diss any SFC player but when he was played in on the right in the first half he had a 15 yard 'hole' to place the ball between the keeper and the defender to reach the other Saints forward. What does he do straight at the defender. Sorry but there are thousands of players in the Southampton parks this weekend who could have made that easy pass.

Astonishingly poor performance from him and his myopic linesmen.

Bringing in a bunch of underperforming jolly jockos was never going to achieve success. The Strachan record at Southampton with them was grim stuff - Mr Telfer and the other short guy - an alleged winger but I cannot remember his name - he keeps appearing as a summariser on Sky for the SPL. One of the funniest things was at a cup game away against Northampton where the pitch has a tarmac path round it. This means you have to scuttle across the tarmac in footie boots to take a corner - never an easy thing - and as a result of this plus the fact he was crap anyway his many efforts at getting the corner over the defenders head were pathetic. We were all stood close to this corner and a friend of mine stepped onto the path and offered to take the corner for him - and the stewards then threw my friend out. Classic. What was the players name please help?

Ok but we move the ball out of the back a little slowly and this enables teams like Huddersfield to get in your face. If you can do it quicker you leave the oppo player in no mans land with the ball behind him. The other tactic we have lost at the moment is the chip over the defence puishing up for someone to run onto. Even if you cannot achieve this in the centre one over the overlapping full back eliminates him and drages the centre half out of the middle. This was where our friend from Reading was great last year.

I thought this was about the Echo - who cares about the Sun does anyone read it?

Sounded awful on radio. Oops
-
Good - lets move on now - to the top of the table by the end of October
-
Legend and I would like him to be more involved in the Club.

I think this story was reported first in the Mail and just syndicated by the Echo. Well if they both have reported it then it must be true.

I think this is a huge overreaction. Has there been a game this season where we have not created double figure chances and not taken them?
-
Very funny whoever Barra is

I am a member of the real Executive Club -the Dell Supporters Club under the Kingsland - I wonder if Mr Cortese will come and see us?

Where do you want to play them - in defence midfield or up front

Where do you want to play them - in defence midfield or up front Sorry forgot the quote

I hope he does well there as i do not think he will ever get in the team here.

Time to accept that it is unlikely we will go up

Plums - top by the end of October - 2010 that is -
His form was patchy early in the season but I thought he was excellent today
-
Excellent performance by the team and my only complaint is that we missed a host of chances. Very enjoyable and I hope we can keep it up against a much better side in Huddersfield next week. Top by the end of October - well thereabouts at least.
-
oh dear we will have to wat until Wednesday to find out more.

I thought we were the first prem club to go down with effectively full gates?
