  1. Old Contemptibles is a bit of a trek. Always liked the White Swan in Digbeth. Most pubs fine if there’s not loads of you and you’re not wearing colours. That said, they’re all a bit of a walk for a midweek game, if you’re just having a couple of quick pints dive in the ground.
  2. Cheers, wonder why that couldn’t have been sorted a month ago.
  3. That’s a decent enough deal for us. He was excellent towards the end of last season, Tonda really brought the best out of him and he was probably the best CB in the league. Hit and miss before then and I’d say a downgrade for Villa from Konsa, but that’s their problem now. Like the sound of the Norwegian lad as a replacement.
  4. How can they just find 400 tickets to put on sale only a week before the game? Shoddy.
  5. He’s not a £30m player and I’d be really surprised if a PL team came in for him. He works hard but really lacks an end product.
  6. Thought Azaz was excellent, Millwall found him unplayable in the 2nd half. Great win, hopefully a symbolic kick start to our season now.
  7. Wasn’t 3k away fans at that was there.
  8. 2k is a big percentage of the home tickets that would have been on sale for this game. Definitely more then would normally be available for a Saturday 3pm ko.
  9. Loads of tickets left for this one. The club have got their pricing for these opening games wrong.
  10. JWP on the bench surely?
  11. Those days passed a long time ago.
  12. It’s a bit pricier than I’d like, but not crazy. £10 for under 18s is good. Assuming both sides play a full strength team it could be a really good game.
  13. Probably true, but that would be with two seasons PL experience and never ending transfer fee inflation.
  14. Proper small club behaviour isn’t it, getting all giddy at the idea of a cup trip to a big ground.
  15. Got an image in my head now of a Saints fan sat at a table by the centre circle trying to enjoy his three-course meal while the game goes on around him.
  16. It’s a badly written article, the costs aren’t doubling, it’s just one game at a time £250k plus another game at £250k.
  17. Absolutely amazing people still cheer for VAR.
  18. In effect the club are taking Colchester as a pre season game, but we’re still light on details of others.
  19. Apart from Eastleigh and Munster have we announced any other actual fixtures?
  20. I thought Brazil were really poor considering the players they had available and such a shrewd experienced manager. Just looked up the Norway keeper, spent a lot of his career journeyman back-up at places like Reading and Norwich- funny old game ain’t it.
  21. All pubs still opening til 5am Monday morning?
  22. Apart from a bit of argy bargy when whichever set of away fans gets escorted to the ground, what difference does it make? It’s always been a shit away day. I don’t really agree with the bubble in principle and if they insist on doing it it certainly should be run better, but going down there is never a good away day. 2019 was great, but because we won and won so comfortably.
  23. Pain having that kick off time for Lincoln. Also a strange pick for tv our game at Colchester. Good run of Saturday 3pm home games is a positive.
  24. Skates going to West Ham same day. Though dare say one of our fixtures is moved for tv.
  25. Our cup run last season went hand-in-hand with our league run, definitely gave the side confidence and momentum. We got to a cup semi final whilst going months unbeaten in the league. Chances of long cup runs are slim, but let’s try and win every game. I’d expect Colchester an ideal chance to play our first choice 11 together before the Watford game.
