This is actually a fact.

The one thing I've found with people’s views on mental illness is just how wrong they can be. I remember when Stan Colloymore first came out and said he'd suffered with depression. Everyone including myself said "How can a footballer earning his sort of money and his lifestyle be depressed" and "he needs a real job, then he'd know about depression". Only since I've educated myself do I realise how utterly wrong I was. Unfortunately there is a stigma that still exists with depression and a lot of this comes with the fact that the general public still don’t understand it. Recently there was a Mirror reporter on Talksport talking about a cricketer (name escapes me) which had left the tour because of depression. He came out with some old garbage that made me really angry about being a sportsman and having depression don’t go hand in hand.

It's helped those fans that understand twitter. I haven't got a clue how to use it and I'm no technophobe. Too many @# and stuff.

If true it just makes the story even sader. And hopefully yet another nail in the british tabloid media coffin.

Thinking about it, if the latest owner of Pompey did strip a Lithuanian bank of its assets he wouldn't think twice about PFC.

It's trolling because the op asked whether or not we as fans were afraid of success more than failure. The fact that the next 5 posts were centred around an opinion based on the money to build a picture of the debate is typical of this forum. The fact that your even suggesting that the op is a troll because he's asked a really good question is a joke. And yet again a decent thread has tried to be ruined by a couple of idiots.

In answer to your question. I think inevitably there will be some that are hesitant to the thought of going up. I think that's born out of years of failure and not wanting to go back there. It's a hard mindset to change and one that will only change over years and years of success. Take man utd as an example, that club oozes success because it's bred into the psych of everything it's about, from fans to the board. It hasn't been that way for them forever though. Success breeds success.

Some top quality trolling has got a very good question off topic into bickering over amounts of money. Sigh.
