you could try pressing F8 when the computer first goes past its initial boot screen (the one where you usually get a manufacturer logo E.G Dell) - choose safe mode. That might give you the option to log in as administrator (if admin has no password set) - then you can change her password in there ?
Sounds like the D drive is perhaps a recovery partition? Is it windows 7? I'd probably delete the D partition and extend the C to use the whole of the drive.
If on XP then you'll need to look through the Sony software and see if something is backing up your system to that partition.

I think the forums been much better recently since things are taken less seriously. The day of banter are gone though - it was underestimated how important that part of the forum was IMO.
I've managed to plug plugs into plug sockets before if that helps? I found it pretty easy, but you have to remember to turn the plug socket on afterwards using the switch.
I've got a customer who has 3 computers (2 desktops and a laptop) that he would like to share his contacts across - he has over 5000 contacts.
I notice there are a few bits of software you can get hold of that can enable this - has anyone got any experience using one?
