Thinking about it, I remember seeing Deeney play against up at Walsall in League 1 and thinking that he looked a handful.
-
I also rather rate Deeney. Think he may have had one or two brushes with the law in recent years, but he looks a potentially proper striker to me.

I've just set up a subscription to Premier League Pass for a tenner a month. It does look a really good picture on there.

I'm beginning to wonder if we're selling all the top players to finance an expansion of the ground. Can't see Koeman being given that much of the incoming monies to spend on replacements. It's just not going to happen. Maybe the club are going to put another 10,000 - 15,000 seats in the ground? Would certainly elevate our status as a club. Even if we don't have the players to be able to guarantee filling it......

Sky Sources: New 5 Year Contract offered to Jay Rodriguez
Pat from Poole replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Interesting. Clearly at least one other club is in for him. Really hope he signs, though the actions of our ex-skipper would indicate it isn't exactly the biggest sign of long-term loyalty. -
Aren't Liverpool after Reed as well?
-
If Rodriguez wasn't injured, I very much doubt he'd still be with the club at the start of the season.
-
Could see this happening actually. But would we all be prepared to wait for the 4-5 weeks for England to have a disastrous World Cup and the FA to sack him?

Complaint against Peter Schmeichel's on MOTD2
Pat from Poole replied to Saint_John's topic in The Saints
I think he MLT made Schmeichel look even more stupid with his goal in the 3-1 grey shirt drubbing. Rudolph has always hated us since. -
We could sign Hammond, Chaplow, Fox, Richardson and De Ridder, and walk away with the Championship title in two seasons' time.

I watched it today on Sportsnet Ontario via the Offside Streams site. Was pretty decent, probably better than StarSports, which does get blurry at times. For a fiver a month, Offside Streams is decent.
-
Don't Bein Sports only have the one live 3pm kick-off game on a Saturday though?
-
I've been using Star Sports for the last few months, with Unotelly DNS. It's not perfect, you get a blurry picture for part of the game and then a cystal clear picture for the rest. Has been pretty reliable so far though, and you do at least get the English commentaries.
-
Just signed to Offside Streams, having signed up to Star Sports a couple of weeks ago. I kind of guess that between the two of them I should hopefully be able to see the Saints game today.

Post of the day.

Al Jazeera Sport was indeed excellent today. Really good picture for the whole game, very enjoyable watch.
-
Would I be likely to get more joy viewing it through an iPad than a laptop? Presumably I could install Unotelly on the iPad and download an Al Jazeera Sport app on the iPad (?) Sorry, I know you have probably already answered about 500 questions on this.
-
It's odd. I also have Virgin Media broadband at the top speed (100mb), and have Al Jazeera Sport on a laptop using Unotelly DNS, but it was rubbish for me on Saturday. Kept stuttering, and I had to keep switching between HD4 and non-HD channel 5 every 3 or 4 minutes to be able to view it without it freezing. Was really annoying. I wonder how Kelly's Bar in London Road manage to show it OK, do they have one of these mega-size satellite dishes?

Was Saturday a mirror image of WBA away last season?
Pat from Poole replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
Lambert hit the bar at West Brom when we were 1-0 down. If that had gone in, it might have been a totally different game. Fulham never came close to that. -
Yes.
-
Am a little bit surprised that there hasn't been mention on this thread of the (possibly not all that accidental) stamp on his foot by that thug Fellaini. Can't have made it easy for Osvaldo to play after that.
-
Unless they've got a monster-sized satellite dish, they may may find Al Jazeera Sport being rather erratic if they are relying on an online connection. It was hopeless for the Palace game, but fine for the Swansea game. I have kept my subscription to Al Jazeera Sport, but am expecting the stream to not be clever tomorrow, as it's on channel HD6 on Al Jazeera Sport tomorrow, and that particular channel does seem to be hit and miss.

Had a chat with james beattie on saturday
Pat from Poole replied to The Majestic Channon's topic in The Saints
Was Beattie going to the Saints game?
