  1. I've been on a few Sunderland forums. Most of them dont even have a thread on this game. I found just one thread below and most of their fans wont be over bothered if they lose this one. Poyet is giving some fringe players a go too. http://www.sunderlandmad.com/t7272-sunderland-v-southampton-fa-cup Rip into them from the start and this could easily be over by half time.
  2. But earlier in the season we were winning home game after home game. Swansea, then Fulham, then Hull if I remember right. But our defence was lock tight back then.
  3. The same team that lost at home to Hull then who we were a class above last night.
  4. Tough girl actress Michelle Rodriguez is set to join her brother at St Marys too.
  5. keep giving the ball away to cheaply
  6. There's no doubt about it, were a really decent team. Hull are a mid table side and we're far better than them. I'm quite excited about the cup. Get through this weekend and we have genuine chance given who will be left in it and we're probably the only team with little to play for in the league.
  7. This. Dont want us to lose though as its good to continue the unbeaten run.
  8. I wouldnt take Hull as a given. Brighton have knocked out Newcastle in the last 2 seasons. I've got a ticket to this game (bton v hull i mean)
  9. There will be 2 top class teams in the 6th round draw. Maybe 3 if you count Everton. There will be 2 non-Prem teams in the 6th round draw. The rest will be Prem teams we are capable of beating. Win this Saturday and we have an excellent chance of Wembley for the semis. I went on a Sunderland forum yesterday and a lot of them dont seem to care. They all agree that a draw is worse than a defeat given that the replay would be a few days before the LC final. So storm into a lead and I cant see them finding the motivation to get back into it. Is that cheat Wes Brown suspended for our game btw?
  10. Was in the mexican opposite Pizza Express in Oxford St before the game. Lovren, his wife and nipper were in there. Certainly didnt look injured.
  11. I just really want a wembley day out which is one game away if we win next Saturday.
  12. In which case they probably are worth the paper on which they are printed.
  13. Win at Sunderland. Just one win away from wembley after that and there will deffo be at least 2 non prem teams in the 1/4 final.
  14. Decent real ale and pies would also help.
  15. As will the Brighton if they get up to the Prem.
  16. Its not as if we didnt have a massive period of application planning. The problem is where it was. Basically it's set into the ground. There was much more prep work than ours. Also you only have to look at the design of it to see it would be more expensive to construct.
  17. I know Tony Bloom has got a few quid so I wonder how long he'll continue losing his own money. SMS cost a fraction of what their ground cost. If he does ever pull out, theyre in trouble. Its not as if theyve been spending massive money on players too.
  18. TBH it's a relatively good way to die. Your team scores against ManUre. Good innings also.
  19. surely the lower leagues are league 1 and 2, not the champs
  20. Does anyone remember who our owners were when SISU were sniffing around us? Coz unlike Cov's previous owner, ours decided these guys were not a good idea for the club. We should be commending Wilde & co (if it was them) for telling SISU where to go surely.
  21. Just heard this on BBC sport. Confirmed on SSN. Gary Monk you say? I remember in 2000 going to Ayia Napa and spending loads of time chatting to Keven Davies, James BT, Dean Richards (RIP) and Hassan Kachloul. Monk was there although I had no idea he was a Saints player.
  22. This. Players with pony tails should automatically start games with a yellow card.
  23. The £43 I just spent on my Wham ticket might well be worth it. http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1704544/west-ham-striker-andy-carroll-appeal-rejected-football-association?cc=5739 "The three-match suspension rules Carroll out for the rest of February, when West Ham face Aston Villa, Norwich and Southampton."
  24. Also, my first ever game at the Dell was 8-2 in 84. Whats more, my step mum was friends with Joyn Poynton who was the Cov chairman in 87 and I met him a week before they won the cup.
  25. There's no need to come in peace. We dont exactly have any beef with Cov. I for one always saw Cov as a sister club. Same year-on-year fight against relegation, same Denmark replica kit between 87 and 89, same solitary FA cup win, similar fanbase size etc etc. Anyway, signed.
