Just imagine if they could hand their notice on a 4 week notice period. They could even go earlier based on holiday they havent used or TOIL they are owed. Of course they might not get a good reference for their next club.

What b olllocks some people talk. I remember in the eighties and nineties, crowds of circa 30k were only the luxury of the big clubs with big grounds. Now thats below average for the Prem. Who remembers when we first moved to SMS. Every other club was saying we would never fill our ground and how we've proved them wrong. Firstrow or whatever is no alternative to being there. The stream is always a good 2 mins before SSN so we already know a goal has been scored. Its jittery and unreliable. And even when the game is on Sky and you only have to either pay subscription or go to the local pub, we still sell out. And for those that dont go, why are they always labelled as unloyal. Some people have kids to bring up and might not be able to pay £35 a pop to go.

Cabaye is out for them. I think we are much more consistent and I fully expect us to play well. Depends which NUFC turn up.

Saints v Skates, F.A. Youth Cup Third Round, Match Thread FULL TIME 7-0!
bender replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
All the Pompey players are too busy deciding which players they are going to swap shirts with. -
Whats the point of being a half decent side in the Prem if you're not going to try in the cups !! It's the only genuine chance you have of Wembley and glory. Ild rather have one day out at Wembley than loads of qualifiers in the pointless Euro wafer cup.

Man City are gash away. Spurs aren't that great home or away. We would lose at Everton even with a fit Boruc.
-
What gets me is he was averaging a goal every other game at all his other clubs. What the f is different about our game.

Bring back The Match with Elton Welsby and one live game on Sunday afternoon.
-
Only in the family area should this be a problem. That way if you don't want your kids to hear swearing, then take them to the family centre.

This reminds me of Old trafford. Wonder if we get the leveller this time.
-
I dont mind that one as much. I just look at how the league table ended that season.
-
Tranmere away 2000/01. Whenever they replay that game I turn it over when Saints are 3 up.
-
So you're assuming we'll lose at home to Villa between the Chelsea and City games?
-
Didnt realise there was an Ikea at Pride Park. I would have gone had I known. It was the most ludicrous own goal too. It's not as if someone blasted the ball at him and it went in.
-
No that would be ridiculous. I originally started the thread as I was interested if anyone else had similar problems. I can think of many more a thread about more trivial matters. If the thread didnt interest anyone, no one would reply and it will quickly fall down the list on the home page. Your additions to this thread have kept it up there. If you dont like it, dont open it.

Its put up so the tractor thing can come on in that corner of the ground I think.

Clearly it was more of an inconvenience than an inability to survive. My life was never in danger. If you're spending around £70 on tickets you deserve to be sat in the seats you chose. I was right to complain and now have 4 free tickets to show for it.
-
I actually meant 4 free tickets - 2 Adults and 2 Under 11's as per my original purchase for the Hull game.
-
You'll all be delighted to hear that the ticket office just rang and are offering me 2 free tickets to a Cat C game of my choice !!!

Have we ever had 3 players playing for England at once ??

Admitted I got that wrong whilst supporting Saints!

I once said that Portsmouth fans aren't that bad a bunch. -

No mate. This is a thread about things you got wrong. -
Well it was actually a problem wasnt it. Block 21 is a different stand to Block 25 and is separated by a gate. You cant get to one from another. And some of my friends were in the other block which means I couldnt get socialise with them at half time. A particularly chose seats in the Chapel for that reason.

It's all well and good these small teams being up there with 3 or 4 games played, but we could be 1st or 2nd after next game with a third of the season played. If Everton win by 2 goals or more, we only need a draw to be 2nd.
