I usually make a point of saying to turn them off, or at least have them on silent. Most people are considerate and just know not to use them.

i think they should be off in lessons. I teach in FE and there is nothing worse than a student texting away for the entire lesson, I even had one lad answer his phone and hold a conversation, until I chucked him out.

at my kids schools the quite often have those part time coppers standing about making sure people dont park on the zig zags / grass verges etc. It does work but last week some chap dressed in a tracksuit drove his nova and parked right in front of the school gates, completely ignoring the police. Still, he returned to his car and a £60 fine.

got back so late from game last night so here is my 10p worth. Yet another ****e performance, with the exceptions of Fonte and Deano. We have been played badly for a while now but got out of jail because the teams we played were alot worse. Charlton have been woeful of late and were just a poor in the 1st half. We scored, then for some reason stopped tackling / marking! Their goal was on the back of several passes across the back, into the middle, back again, out wide, back into middle and then forward, we didnt get close to them at any point. And to think, they hit the bar too. We were lucky to get a point from this.
