We don't always sell our best players; we sell the ones on the last year of their contract, the ones that want away and the ones we can make the most markup on. It simple business really. The ones on a year left will be a dead asset at the end of next season and will go for nothing. The ones that want away might as well be sold *if* we get what we want for them. The ones that are worth a lot will be sold if we can get the price that matches the current market and we have another player lined up to replacement. Those ones may well be the best ones, but we've sold Juanmi this close season and I don't think anyone would call him one of the best players. Saints are not a charity, they have to make money for their owners.
