We’ve had two bad performances, Lincoln and Brighton and two good performances, Liverpool and Fulham. We kept Ralph too long in my opinion. Let’s see how things go over the next few games and see who we get in.
-
It was a jest, read the whole page.
-
Could also mean one or two of our existing centre backs will be off, Salisu hasn’t signed, Lyanco was / is supposed to be off, Bella Kotchap hasn’t been great since the World Cup (head turned)? CC doesn’t currently seem to figure it out n the plans. If all are staying then as you suggest it is the last position that needs strengthening.
-
We didn’t hoof it against Fulham, there was some really good interplay at times. Nothing wrong with mixing it up anyway, Ralph used to be big on percentage balls to the opponents corner areas, when he had us going well.

Cheers

I’m pretty sure NJ has now had a good chance to see and assess all of the players under match conditions over the last 3 games, I’d be surprised to see Lyanco start another game unless there is an injury crisis. Isn’t he supposed to be leaving in January anyway?
-
I no longer do think that. I have finally given up on him.
-
The giving up part was in direct response to tho OPs statement “3 points against Forest or it’s the championship” I can see our problems as well as the next supporter, I just think it’s too early to call game over if we don’t beat Forest.

We are still an attractive proposition for a player who wants to elevate his standing, we are in the premier league for at least another five months. Any aspirational player from the lower leagues or overseas will see it as a fantastic opportunity.

I don’t know what stage of the season we played QPR, was it less than half way through the season and before a transfer window?
-
It’s a very important game, but it’s not the end if we lose. There were big signs of improvement yesterday, we still have the transfer window to come, NJ still has work to do to impose his style and there are still 20 games to go after Forest. I understand the despondency but it’s too soon to give up.
-
Good effort from the boys an NJ, (that does not include you Aribo btw), something to build on, now looking forward to Forest and seeing some new blood soon.
-
I can’t say too much at this stage, but they are all higher than us on the table.
-
Probably be a bit more solid with no negative effect on goals scored. Sounds like a cunning plan.
-
I know it’s a joke, but what else can he say, other than clichés and platitudes ? He knows more than we do how bad we are top to bottom. He has a responsibility to comment after matches, he can hardly call the manager, his team mates and the club hierarchy out can he? I can’t see him staying much longer, and before anyone says it, he hasn’t suddenly turned crap, his goals kept us up last season, this season he has an impossible task with the dross around him and Ralph losing the plot.
-
It’s a hard question, keeping it Saintsy probably means I’ve never heard of them or am only vaguely aware of them. On that basis I’ll take whatever the current versions of Pele and Mane are, plus the current version of David Armstrong, ie a tough “box to box” driving midfielder. They must be around, we just need to abandon the principle that we need to by players whose values are potentially going to increase, we may need to go old and hungry.
-
Why?
-
Lyanco, but he won’t play much unless he establishes himself in a Romeu role. Stu, agreed, but seems to be out of favour, have a feeling he may leave. CC if he played regularly. No standouts now Romeu that has sadly gone.
-
Regardless of that it’s still a big cash cow.
-
That’s ultimately what will work, especially in corporate.
-
Maybe they are? It’s a genuine concern of mine that a parachute payment maybe a more attractive proposition than a big January spend, which may still result in being relegated. I still have no idea what SR are all about.
-
To be fair the atmosphere only turned when Bazunu threw one in his own net, again. Although I do agree, the toxicity will make it impossible at home. If we do improve, it will be away from home, where the support is always much better.
-
100% he is Rasmus’s proxy manager, no established manager would come here under those terms.
-
Is he shite or just thinking wtf have I done coming here? I don’t think he is shite, at least not with regard to ability, maybe attitude?

Initially I though the World Cup break was a godsend, but in reality it went the other way, all he saw was who shone in training and low key friendlies, he didn’t know what we do, now he does. The break was completely mismanaged, as has been everything else.
