Agree thats the model, and I have no problem if we are playing good football to watch, being proud of my team, and we're still winning games. When it goes the other way, the football is dull and we're not getting results, then you have to question the board/manager. We may have replaced Mane with Boufal, and he looks a really good talent, but changing the system away from the norm for the last 4/5 years has caused us huge problems. We seem to be stuck between what the players seem to want to do (press) and what the manager seems to want to do (sit off). Losing Pelle has been catastrophic too as we have no focal point and no one to get on the end of crosses.

They're not as good this year. Would go with the same line up, possibly Redmond in for Tadic. It's a winnable game as long as we don't let them suffocate us with the press. I want us to take the game to them and press them, the players look much happier pushing the oppo back than sitting back in our own half.

Surely he's the natural replacement for Kompany. Surprised we would stick a price on his head though, rather than letting all the top clubs enter a bidding war for him. The league has so few decent CB's, he's got to be in the £40m-60m bracket somewhere.

I don't see Defoe as being a viable option tbh. - Why would Sunderland let him go? - He would cost quite a lot - He doesn't fit the club philosophy of bringing in players to sell at a profit. Whether we should be looking at him is another question, but just don't see the club being interested in a player like Defoe.
