I think my point is that if we want to get to Wembley, then we have to not stick out the reserves and we stand a really good chance of getting back there

Although I agree, if you just look at the last few years we got knocked out of the league cup in the Q final by Sheff Utd and Liverpool and the previous year we lost to Sunderland. The majority of teams stick out weakened teams, so the quarters/semis are well achievable...! If you take the FA Cup too, there is no reason why we can't get to atleast 1 cup final in the next 5 years.

TBF there were about 25000 more Saints fans at the JPT than there will be on Saturday. Whats wrong with drinking around Baker Street? Surely it won't be that busy?! Are there any decent pubs in Baker Street?

Yep - was planning on getting one of the Salisbury trains rather than one of the Southampton trains, however not sure there seem to be many...! Just going to go up early and if it tkes a bit of time then so be it....can't be driving on cup final day!

Agree with this. Not many better than him with the ball at his feet, reminds me of Hazard when he has the ball....obviously nowhere near as good just before certain posters pipe up....!

Seems pretty unlikely when you take into account the below.... Palace away - 0 Hull away - 0 Burnley away - 0 Swansea away - 0 Watford home - 1 Sunderland home - 1 West Ham home - 0 West Brom home - 0 Leicester away - 1 However if can stick a few results together starting on Saturday, then I agree we'll look pretty safe. Doesn't take a lot - just when you get into a slump its difficult to get out of it....!

Possibly take Tadic out move Boufal left and stick Davis in the middle behind Gabbiadini if we're on the back foot. Also based on Hojbjerg actually being decent, which has been a rarity this year. Would quite like to see him alongside Romeu in a 2 in DM, rather than a "box to box" midfielder which it seems we're trying to make him at the moment.

Great talent - just whether he can put it all together into a match performance, no doubt he's probably the most talented in the squad. Reckon he'll be our match winner next year and then get sold for big money (or the year after)!
