  1. No I agree but we 'dominated possession' in our half and did bugger all with it.
  2. After searching for 'best clubs in Southampton' on google, it sent me back to SaintsWeb!! Appreciate the post above by GB, I'm out on Saturday for a mates birthday and wondering whether there have been any changes since August 2011?
  3. This. He's on a par with Redknapp.
  4. All Fat Sam teams always crowd the keeper and used dirty tactics. Just something else that we have to deal with. Jos is going to need to have a good game and the team will have to make sure we keep the ball at every opportunity. Personally think his game could be decided on winning the second balls. We know the ball will be lumped to that fairy up top all game, but his touch is dreadful - Morgan and Cork are superb at just picking it off. Worth remembering last time we played them at their place, our team was... 31 Boruc 02 Clyne 03 Yoshida 05 Hooiveld Booked 06 Fonte 04 Schneiderlin Booked 08 S Davis (Ward-Prowse - 89' ) 20 Lallana 21 Guly 42 Puncheon (Mayuka - 65' ) 09 Rodriguez (Lambert - 65' ) Shaw will play, as will Cork and Lambert. 3 very important players for us this season. Ramirez might even start, although Lallana looked handy on Saturday and not sure Ramirez will be a able to perform in what will be a very physical game.
  5. Lol. An ambition to break into the top 6 and we're talking about signing Phil Neville...
  6. Lallana got booked there for diving in the 1-1 game, the same game where Billy Sharp 'dived'...
  7. The sooner them and Stoke are relegated playing their 'brand' of 'football' the better.
  8. Because the bookies thought we'd do the worst out of the promoted teams. And having just logged on on my PC, I can see that there is gaps....they don't come out on my phone! Got to say I'm surprised that Swansea were given a 42 - the same as Norwich and West Ham and worse than Reading !
  9. I thought that then Chelsea are 55 with Man City on 6. Unless I'm reading it wrong...
  10. I really don't think he is good enough for this league.
  11. Don't suppose anyone recorded tonight's analysis? I missed it and always keen to hear what Neville's had to say.
  12. No thanks, think I'd rather have sharp back. Reckon he'll go WBA if any prem team wants him.
  13. Never thought I'd be lookin out for their games!!! Ha
  14. Tbh I don't think there are many decent refs. The best ones are the ones you don't notice. The one on Saturday was pretty good, I don't even know who that was. Seem to remember the Chelsea game he was pretty good n all.
  15. We're better than under Adkins. Can't argue with that. I really want us to beat those tossers on Saturday though and cement our place as the top promoted team at least.
  16. I'd be a bit worried after you look what it's done to Newcastle this year. However, if we are going to progress into Europe and challenge towards the top of the division, then its a step that we need to take. We'd just have to make sure we bolster the squad a bit more in the summer.
  17. Tossers
  18. Surprised that they've left it this long before breaking the story whatever it is...
  19. Strange you say that, a few of my mates go on WestHamOnline.net as they said the same about KUMB!
  20. There might be....just nothing confirmed yet. Bit of fun, I do agree he looks a bit small for Boruc, but struggled to think what else it could be. Maybe we've got a new manager . Be a deserved new contract for Corky if it is him. Been superb since he's been here.
  21. Isn't Bolasie the one who scored against us for Plymouth in our promotion party in L1? When we won 3-1? He stood out as their best player that day from what I remember if that was indeed him. Looked handy, if a little raw, not seen much of him for Palace though. Sure we have got plenty of players being watched at the moment, but would be surprised if we're looking at the NPC for transfers with Poche in charge. Wouldnt surprise me if all our signings this summer are young internationals.
  22. Saints just put this on Twitter... Southampton FC ‏@SouthamptonFC 2m Who are @Wattsypics and @TomCoull shooting today? #saintsfc Boruc new contract perhaps? Or maybe no news at all...
  23. Any excuse to post those pictures MLG ! lol They are a strange bunch though West Ham fans. They're a bigger club than us, but really don't have a transfer policy. It's in a way similar to QPR but on a smaller scale. Buy 'prem players' who are on big wages but are generally big club rejects. Certainly be interesting to see what happens with them in the summer. I remember being old constantly last year when they signed Ravel Morrison from Man Utd, that he would get them promoted and then be key this season in the prem....Has he even played a first team game yet ? You could argue that we spent a lot this season, and we have for a club of our size. But they have been investments as well as being part of a transfer policy. Young technically talented players who we can groom into the way we want to play. The problem with signing older more established players coming from bigger clubs is that they are less likely to want to learn and think they have already made it. Add to that they're already on huge wages with nothing to prove, they're probably not the kind of personalities that we want at our club. I did used to like West Ham, but their fans are generally morons, and I cannot stand the way they play. Add to this staying up a few years ago down to Tevez who they didnt even own, and then spending over their means last season, being £100m odd in debt and still spending, and then now getting this top drawer stadium for barely anything, just makes me respect them much much less. I always said last season and the start of this season, that I would much rather go down playing great football with some upcoming exciting talent, than set up for a short term plan like WHU and QPR have done. I'll be surprised if we don't finish above them for the next few years atleast.
  24. Have to say having just bought tickets for Swansea I was hoping we'd need to go there and win. It seems that if we beat WHU on Saturday we could be all but confirmed as safe and it will be a mid table nothing game! However I'm not complaining too much!! We can still finish above them after all...
