  1. I think so. No idea of stats but Armstrong seems to give the ball away much more than Elyounoussi, but that might be eyes playing tricks on me. He works hard, and thought he had a decent enough game at Leicester, and was involved with the second goal. I don't have a problem with him starting, but I'd like to see us upgrade on both personally.
  2. He was ok, not much more than that. Kept checking back onto his right which you'd expect. He would do a job in emergencies, but not sure you'd want him there for longer than 1 or 2 games.
  3. Not sure what's happened to this kid. Was expecting him to be involved last night, given our lack of full backs. Maybe the ship has sailed for him? (or train?!) Anyone know of his situation? Injured? On the way out? Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up back at Ross County.
  4. I quite like having two threads. One for Pre Match and Match, and then one for Motm/match reaction. Quite nice when you've come back from the game, reading the match reaction, rather than having to scroll through a load of the crap in the match thread trying to find the match reaction. My personal opinion
  5. I still think Ramos is a smokescreen for someone else. Not sure we've ever been in for him.
  6. Yup - roads were no fun whatsoever! got back to Basingstoke about 00:45. yawn... Apparently when they redesigned the stand we were in, they put it where it is, because when they redevelop the opposite end they're going to move the pitch towards the away end stand.
  7. He wants out, mainly because he's just had a baby and wants to move back closer to his family in Birmingham. He's been a decent signing for Saints all in all. Always been a decent pro behind the scenes too. I'm hoping he'll stay, as he's also good for the younger guys, but think it's highly likely he leaves before the end of the window.
  8. Yup absolutely, you see it with all the great players, that they have the self belief, he certainly has that. Great to see.
  9. Think we will probably continue with the 4-1-4-1 we are playing atm. Bazunu; KWP ABK Sali Djenepo; Lavia; Elyounoussi JWP Aribo AArmstrong; Adams
  10. Looked like he knew he was going to score last night, from the moment he stepped on the pitch. Huge talent. Congratulations on your first senior goal Dom! Chant needs some work…
  11. Yeah, exactly. Probably L1/L2 level I'd guess.
  12. Amazing really, he's on track to be fully fit for after the world cup. I guess there isn't much point in trying to rush him back before that.
  13. Why should it ?
  14. Goztepe have just loaned out a winger...wonder if we'll see them losing a few others and a few of ours turning up there.
  15. Probably because other teams have picked up points that you wouldn't have expected, Fulham, Bournemouth, Forest have both already got a win under their belt, Brighton, Leeds have got 2 wins, Brentford beat Man Utd, teams at the bottom you wouldn't expect to be there at the end of the season, (Liverpool, Leicester, West Ham, Wolves, Everton, Man Utd, Villa) - big clubs.
  16. If he's going for that sort of money, and Everton are after Adams, we should be asking for £35-40m. Bonkers money
  17. Supposedly paying him £100k a week, just for a loan...mad
  18. Trent is an appalling defender, absolutely no chance he should be anywhere near first choice RB for England. Can’t defend at all.
  19. Yeah that’s who I was thinking of. 👍
  20. Thought Payne was a striker? Or am I thinking of a different kid?
  21. They are missing Nunez, Jota, Fabinho, Keita, Thiago, Konate, Matip…might be others too.
  22. This is first time I’ve seen them. They look all over the place. VVD looks miles off it, and Henderson is rubbish without fabinho.
  23. I think looking at Bournemouth's squad it's definitely the weakest in the premier league, I assume thats why people are saying they're the only one likely to get cut adrift. You normally get all 3 sides that have relatively weak squads but some overperform, and then you get a bunch of current premier league sides that are in a bit of a mess after a few bad seasons. ones like us unfortunately, but there aren't many others really. Leicester may fit that bill, especially if they lose a few more, but you'd expect they'll have too much quality, same with Everton, Wolves and West Ham. Leeds, Brighton, Palace, Brentford are the ones you might have ecpected to be dragged in, but they've done a great job off the pitch, and don't look like being involved this season. I think it's actually a really exciting season, because you've probably got a top 5, with everyone expecting City to win the league, and then if a couple teams have a bad run they could easily find themselves involved in a relegation fight. Though I'd much rather there was 2 relegated already, like Norwich and Watford last season !
  24. Feels like Stephens would have gone now if he was going.
