  1. Definitely going to sign him, Ive got a feeling.
  2. Oh come on Neil....I'm just putting off this assignment
  3. Well, noone is saying they will let us have him for 6m...just a guess from someone on here I think as to how much roughly he would cost.
  4. I don't think anyone said it was total profit, It is never going to be. But it's still a hell of a lot of money, and I'm pretty sure this doesnt include price increases/merchandise/matchday income/hospitality etc etc...Regardless of how much it is worth, its still a hell of a lot of money, and going back to the original post (me), I think the 6m gamble for Hooper would be worth it.
  5. NA's interview....I wouldn't be surprised to see Chappers & De Ridder involved, whether thats on the bench or not. Is NA just being coy? Maybe Guly/Richardson/Chaplow/De Ridder/Connolly will all be fit..who knows?
  6. Yes but do you not think compared to a lot of NPC clubs our current player contracts are relatively small ?
  7. I can't believe I'm agreeing with you both together !
  8. We would get around 40m when we go up, and then another 50m or so when we go back down ? And if we stay in the prem we get more than that? Is that correct ?
  9. Source ?
  10. Was going to go, but think I'll just save the money and watch it on the box.
  11. Yes...but if we stay in the Premier league then surely thats even better ?
  12. I just think we're running the risk of falling down the table if we don't improve. It's not like we've been playing particularly well the last month or so is it ?
  13. Could go either way. If we turn up, get an early goal, we could win by a few. But if we turn up like we did at Donny/Bristol City, theres only one way the game will go IMO. Atleast Ishmael Miller is injured, he caused us all sorts of problems at St. Marys.
  14. But if the Chairman and manager don't 'BELIEVE' when it's January and we're top of the league...who will? If we're as financially sound as we are led to believe then the risk is pretty low IMO.
  15. West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has given up on landing Huddersfield hotshot Jordan Rhodes - and he has no intention of signing Kevin Davies either. Rhodes has been heavily linked with a move to Upton Park after hitting 25 goals in just 21 League One appearances this season, including a five-goal haul against Wycombe last week. But after seeing an initial bid - believed to be around £3m - turned down by Huddersfield, currently fourth in the table, Allardyce admits he is unlikely to up the offer. “ It's something we've tried to do but it's not a situation where it looks like Huddersfield want to lose the player ” Sam Allardyce When asked whether he had written off the chances of signing Rhodes, he said: "At the moment I would say yes. "It's something we've tried to do but it's not a situation where it looks like Huddersfield want to lose the player. "When a club of Huddersfield's status decide they don't want to lose him because of their own position, and it's more important that they keep him for their promotion push, then it becomes very difficult for us to prize the player away." Allardyce is still in the market for a new striker, as he attempts to steer the Hammers back to the Premier League. Big Sam has been linked with a move for veteran forward Kevin Davies, 34, who he signed for Bolton back in 2003. But the West Ham manager said: "There's nothing in that as far as I'm concerned. I haven't spoken to Owen Coyle. At the moment I don't know anything about that scenario."
  16. Should imagine it'll be that George John.
  17. I just don't think 6m is a lot of money when promotion is worth £100m.
  18. We will only regret it if we don't bring anyone superior in. Although I think he's quite overpriced straight up, when you consider how much other young english talent is going for 1.5m seems like a bargain to me. Time will tell, and fingers crossed we don't regret signing this kid.
  19. Or look in the SPL for Hooper/Commons or the Prem. I'll be incredibly surprised if we don't get a 'marquee' signing this transfer window.
  20. Nothing else has been said but it does seem that NA is after another creative Midfielder. Rumours of Matt Phillips, Falque and Commons...
  21. He's more ITK than the majority on here, don't understand why people have to moan about anything and everything.
  22. I am at Uni and I am the same, I don't speak to my parents all that often. But for his mates who were in Newquay with him, family, friends, police etc etc to not hear from him is truly awful. Especially as his phone was activated yesterday. I just pray that he is still alive. Top bloke.
  23. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11688/7425350/ Sounds like we are interested but don't think there is much chance of it happening. Maybe thats why we rejected Blackpools bid for Puncheon as we wanted Phillips in return.
