Topically, I gave up smoking early last year. Last night as others around me were supposedly smoking they're "last fag ever", I held one to my lips and nearly lit it. Only my wife's timely intervention saved me from the jokers, who thought it funny to tell me it contained only cannabis. They had mixed the good weed with bad weed the bastards. :smt012 Still I had the last laugh, as I grassed (lol) them to the man on the door for smoking in the toilets and they are now banned for life. But they have been consistent in not doing much at all haven't they? I recall a message in a programme about a text service whereby one could grass on smokers in the bogs. I must add that I read this over someone's shoulder, as I stopped buying programmes as a protest after my name was omitted from the Birthdays list. Out of interest WSS, (seriously) how would you deal with someone smoking in your pub, in the toilets for example? Do you turn a blind eye, or send them on their way? Oh yeah, Happy new Year to everyone (except --- ----).

Although I personally would have think a warning would have sufficed, they have now set a precedent for anyone else 'caught' smoking. There is no way in this world that the club would have been fined, just as we haven't been fined for fans standing during games.

As NYE and giving p smoking go hand in hand, I would like to take this opportunity to recomend the method that 'helped' me to give up in February. Allen Carr's Easy Way book is brilliant. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Allen-Carrs-Easy-Stop-Smoking/dp/0140277633 Cost less than a pack of 20! It will help you to accept that you really can not 'enjoy' a cigarette. Read the book and you understand why this fact, is in fact a fact. Good luck to anyone using alternative methods, but Iu tried them all, from nicotine products, working out the cost/savings and hypnosis tapes. But you really do need to realise that you are up against a massively powerful drug. As for smoking at SMS, I was the last person to legally smoke there I believe, as my daughters wedding reception was held there on the night the ban came in, and the gestapo said they would turn a blind eye once midnight struck.

Not sure about that t-s. The squad needs investment and time to settle PLUS a new strong manager to lead them out of the mire. IMO None of this can or will happen now. For what it's worth (nothing ) we would have been comfortably mid-table by now if we kept NP. Again, I am not so sure about this part. If Nigel Pearson had stayed, with the chance to make the most of last seasons squad, I think we would have been pushing for those prized play off places. If Lowe had stayed away, the crowds would have definitely been higher than they are now, leaving a few quid available for investment in January, and given us a final push into the automatic spots.
