Met a pompey supporting lawyer this weekend. He seems to think mandric is turning queens evidence for the upcoming court case. Could be interesting

I'm guessing that the credit card companies will drip feed zebra in the same way they were going to do with pompey, but that Zebra pay everything in one go (Same as if a fan takes out a plan with Zebra) to pompey but pompey have to pay them a percentage. Just smacks of desperation
-
So ... The credit card companies will only drip feed the money on a game by game basis. pompey try and get the fans to book through Zebra finance, but fans want credit / debit card protection. The stand off = poor sales. Club announces credit card payments for a week (Starting this week - only 3 working days) Fans go and pay by credit card and everything is hunky dory....... Or not, the first one to check their credit card statement, finds the debit is too..... wait for it...... Zebra finance http://www.fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=345213 Someone needs some cash fast and will have sacrificed a percentage to Zebra to get in all in one go as opposed to drip fed. Don't ask me what it means, if channy if off on his toes or not, but they continue to stick two fingers up at the authorities and bend the rules to breaking point. If anyone was really questioning how skint they are, the answer is all in the above. Three days of season ticket sales is a lot when the fans have been holding back payment waiting for the credit / debit card option.... 3 days and what is it today, oh yes that's right it's pay day.

Jaidi will become one of our biggest assets next season. He won't start many (If any) and will come off the bench for the last 15 minutes in lots of matches, just to lock things down. It will be a perfect role for him. Slightly off topic, but that means we need to find a decent centre back. With Seabourne and Martins being the young upcoming centre halfs (With decent futures and who will be used) it opens the door for a Richard Dunne / Chris Perry type signing (And no, I don't mean either of those two) but a strong, experienced centre half with a couple of years left in him. Should be our first signing IMO.

There are some right old loons on this thread. Nothing wrong with the avatar Turkish, Some people really need to get out just a tiny bit more.

Delighted with how things have worked out, but official SLH company minutes say it wasn't all hot air.

Just heard the singer being interveiwed and he said that when the person who reported him picked up his phone, he said to his mate "I bet he is going to call the police" Which for him to think that he was going to call the police, suggests that something else had happened. Could be wrong, pathetic if it was just the song, but guess we will find out

Actually, in the 80's and 90's we were a lot of peoples "Second team" or at least there was a lot of goodwill towards us. From the 80's playing some lovely football and nearly pipping liverpool, to signing Keegan and latterly, for being plucky old Saints who always beat manure or at least one of the big guns.

Great time and My first "European tour" When the draw was made I ran upstairs to try and book cheap flights before the airlines hiked up the prices when they realised 2,000 people wanted to go to Romania on the same day. The rest of lads did the same, but my flights were a fraction of the cost of theirs and no one could work out why mine were so cheap...... A final check, before i hit "proceed with booking" and I was about to send 8 of us to Budapest, instead of Bucharest..... An easy mistake When we got off the coach, at the hotel, the guy told us "Only use the yellow cabs".....sometimes it's worth listening to people that know best. After the match our coach was stuck in the mud and valuable drinking time was being lost..... We'd have to get a taxi, but as mentioned above there weren't many of them, we split into two groups and I managed to hail down a taxi (It wasn't yellow) and off we went. The driver then told us it would be about 3 million, lei, which from memory was about 300 quid. The hotel was 10 minutes away, I laughed and told him what i thought of that and where he could stick it and he pointed to a sign in the car that read "Fares cannot be negotiated, once the car is in motion” He was smiling and laughing and I was getting ****ed off and shouting at him he wasn't getting 300 quid... he just kept smiling, the lads in the back were getting a bit nervous and I was getting more wound up, but there was three of us and one of him, so I fancied our chances. He then pulled out a business card "Armed bodyguard and Chauffeur service" and smiled even more as he moved his jacket back to show me his GUN. Nice. I carried on with the fact he wasn't getting 300 quid, but the mood had (Quite obviously) changed. He then get on his mobile phone and we couldn't understand what he was saying, but we figured we would have a welcoming party wherever he ended up taking us....... Just as we approached the hotel, he swung the car round and we ended up on some gravel track, with no street lights and back on his phone. Proper squeaky bum time. Just as I thought "It" was about to happen, we were back at the hotel, but from the other side. I think he was trying to **** me up... fair play to him it worked I can't remember exactly what we ended up paying him, ( I think it was around a 100 quid or so) or who negotiated the new rate, but if I wasn't ****ed off with being soaking wet or getting knocked out of Europe, I was certainly ****ed off now. Short lived though..... quick shower and back into town for a great night

Well, I have to confess being a little confused.....So much that doesn't add up, but without knowing chanaris motives, then we will never be none the wiser. Chanaris money is safe (Parachute payments) The latest report from the auditors has the secured debt as 29 million between Chinny and gaydamak, but doesn't breakdown who is owned what. However, when lampitt put up his "Close the club down" statement, he also reported that Gaydamak was secured for 5 million, so unless my maths is failing me, Chinnys debt is now 24 million, not the original 17 million he loaned them (That's some interest rate ) I guess he has to work out whether he sits and waits to collect his money or take a hit and get out now.

Not a chance, they want the 100 points and it is the last ever game at the withdean. Put your money on 3 - 2, with Steve foster getting a last minute winner.

Not nice. But we have had enough heartache over the years, so I hope you all throughly enjoy this read. If it were a book, it would be one of the best I've ever read. http://downatthemac.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=56280&page=1
