  1. Whilst they are being paid to be on the premises, they are the face of the company and absolutely should expect customers that have lost 700 quid to be upset. Their plight is very different and of course we all feel sorry for those that might lose their jobs (These big furniture retailers, normally reinvent themselves under a different name very quickly). Even if it is just a it of empathay they offer and even citing their own losses, whilst they are still there being paid, that's the minimum they should be doing.
  2. For all those that revile her, twice as many revere her. As for clown what did he have a better understanding of? Economics? Spending? Borrowing? He was never elected and fell at the first hurdle. Nice bloke he maybe, but he has set this country back 50 years and was rightly kicked into touch.
  3. No deppo, not like hitler.
  4. I have a feeling Mr Cameron will be revered in years to come, as the man who saved our country. I don't think he will enjoy such favourable status during his time in office, but in the years to come, people will appreciate what he is / has done.
  5. The club shouldn't be involved, if it is a gesture from the fans.
  6. Far to close to the pitch for my liking :) But seriously though, 30 years of football and you get used to crap decisions, but the more I think about it and even with heat of the moment taken away, the more I would be intrested in finding out who he supports or a sneaky look at his betting slip..... Stevie Wonder would have given it. Shameful decision and in a way I am glad it didn't all hinge on that.
  7. He's not rubbish, he's proved that. He does struggle to fit into the system though and can go missing.
  8. I really don't think the FA can stop them, even if they wanted to. I am sure some small print will come out, claiming the new, new (Second new) company are not responsible for the CVA and the chanaris new company will be liquidated. But whatever way you dress it up, you still come back to the question of why? Gaydamak owns part of the land to prevent any redevelopment, which in any case would be very expensive. Chanari isn't moving for anything less than 25 million and the fan base and infrastructure (joking aside) makes it impossible to be any anything other than a huge drain on the cash. I don't doubt their interest in sport or indeed a football club, but there are soooooooo many other options that would make much more commercial sense...... Take Sheffield Wednesday for example which mandric bought for a pound and settled all debts, costing him 8 million in total. As per normal, it doesn't make sense, but more importantly it means there is more to this than a takeover, the thread will remain alive and well and judging by their (The Russians) press, baj might want to invest in a new server.
  9. As Adkins has quite rightly deserved the plaudits when he has got it right, last night he needs to take responsibility for the defeat. The shape didn't work at all and he refused to change it. Rochdale, use their pitch and strengths very well, but smarter teams would have been up to it. Forte, is as posted above; fast and strong.... that's it. Zero football intelligence and something that I noticed at Charlton and again last night ... he is unfit. Stephens struggled. KD beaten at his near post again, after pulling off a great one on one save...... It's ups and downs with him and I don't think that will ever change. How the first goal was allowed after GBH on Barnard, I have no idea, perhaps what is more concerning is that there is no way the linesman did not see it. I have seen enough bad decisions in my time, but genuinely worried there was more to this one. That said, I don't think we can complain about the result, What doesnt kill you makes you stronger and all that. Perfect chance to get back to winning ways on Saturday.
  10. Lucky boxers, favorite shirt, clothes that you have worn that and Saints have never lost.... all that sort of thing.
  11. http://www.rumafia.com/material.php?id=220 A long read, but after about three lines, you get the picture of the characters that are taking them over. It seems they just attract them.
  12. Well at least hoodle showed them.....what a success he was .....oh
  13. Nice one Hamster, hope everything is ok.
  14. http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/8961505.Albion_sold_16_000_tickets_already/ I see they have sold 16'000 season tickets for net season already. I think that officially makes pompey the third biggest club on the South Coast. Fantastic, effort and an incredible season. No we can't catch them, it's second for us.
  15. One more win and we are guranteed a play off place
  16. If money was an issue we would have cashed in on Chamberlain. Nothing to worry about
  17. Time for I told you so moment???? (And didn't i get some grief) There was no way in the world the the money coming into the club wasn't in the form of a loan, if for nothing else as tax purposes. There is no repayment due for over 5 years..... there's the clue. Without some sort of timeline, there is no way ot could be called a loan and no tax relief etc. The debt is not real (In the sense of Aviva, Barclays etc.), go look at chelsea, man city, etc etc. Some middle eastern business men have been found wanting on this one. Anybody who has got their knickers in a twist over this, havent got a clue what they are talking about.
  18. Zebra finance have issued a statement this morning that if for any reason pompey are unable to fulfil their fixtures, under the consumer credit act, supporters will get a refund. What a strange statement to make, is the take up that low that they are trying to reassure the fans or is it something more sinister. Bizarre.
  19. There are a few that recogise his talent, but I can't think of a game that he hasn't stood out (With the exception of the one when he came back from injury)
  20. Ok, shamelessly stolen from the the huddersfield forum, but intresting to see what they think of our players, notably, Kelvin, Fonte, Lallana and Lambert. http://downatthemac.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=55823 Don't really know enough about other teams players to comment on who should be in it, but intrested to see who you all come up with. Oh and you don't have a choice Lallana's in
  21. Kanu is not out of contract. He got a four year contract at the start of the season :):)
  22. Without question
  23. The funny thing is I can imagine him running all over the place lining up this player and that - and now the penny has dropped, it isn't going to happen. I've always pinned my hat up on them getting a points deduction next season that, together with a two bit team of free's and loans will result in relegation, but with the league still monitoring them very closely and next season having to cough up the CVA payments (And all creditors under 3k, getting full whack - which was supposed to have been paid months ago) if Chanerai has a plan b, I'm not sure the blue few will like it very much. Could be an intresting close season.
  24. Fairly straight forward and comfortable win. With some plus's and minus's. Thoughts from me were; Lambert was execellent (From someone that has given him stick on here this season) I watched it from the gods last night and from a higher view, you got to see just how much work he got through, his passing and hold up play were outstanding and perhaps the only thing missing was a goal, but the two shots he had at the end were tired legs. Jaidi was a straigjht 10 out of 10 performance, he didn't miss a thing and this great big man mountain threw in a couple of runs, tricks and crowd pleasers to boot. At the start of the season he was close to useless after 70 minutes - I thought he'd lost his place to Seabourne and never expected the performances we have had over the last half of the season. Harding is one of my favorite players and probably the most consistent in the team, Dickson matched his ability last night and pehaps showed a little more going forward. Whilst Dickson will need to show that level week in week out, to, match Harding, he has proved he has the ability. Can't see how Adkins can drop Dickson on Saturday. Lallana, as always a different class and without question technically the best player on the pitch. He was great last night but for the first time, I wondered if he would be so successful in the higher leagues. Guly. He breaks the shape of the team, one week he tracks back, the next week he goes missing. Good goal and did better in a more central role, but Hammond had a go at him for not covering and then Adkins went crazy at him (Twice in as many minutes). Crucial part of the pitch to leave open gaps, will need addressing if he is to keep his place. Barnard. He earnt his goal, he made a few mistakes last night, but they were more wrong decisions than anything else, but led the line and his workrate unmatched. Hammond was a bit of an unsung hero last night, thought he had a great game. Overall worried about the injuries, but delighted with the result. There was an incredible amount of effort put into that match from all players and with so many games in such a short period of time, that will not be repeatable three times every seven days. We will need to be a little bit smarter and slicker to avoid having players constantly running half and full lengths of the pitch to get the ball back after a wayward pass and perhaps even reign in the chasing of lost causes. As pleasing as it is to see the players giving it all for the cause, we can't let them burn themselves out at such a crucial stage.
  25. Did he just convert or just found out about the rule?
