Gazza made one mistake against Swansea, interesting that Joe Hart also made one mistake (against Liverpool) this weekend ! Sadly in today's world, you have people who reckon that 10 games is enough to judge a manager's performance ! Mostly they are given 3 year contracts, therefore (if the chairman loses his nerve !) it becomes a very short sighted and costlly excercise before the club embarks on the same process all over again ! IMHO stability is vital and if you have the courage of your convictions then you have to stay strong ! Using the manager as a scapegoat is the easy option but all too often it seems to happen !

Basically nobody has improved the situation since Jose (I do realise that Di Matteo presided over the jammy CL win !) and the merry go round will continue unless they win a couple of trophies each year ! IMO there is no evidence that regular change is better than stability and it is (for sure!) a helluva lot more costly !

Strange that late last night he said that he had not even spoken to Blackpool and then less than 24 hours later he is their new manager ! Lying b@stard !

Been an avid supporter of the Saints for more than 40 years now and basically because my wife comes from Southampton you could say that I am married to the football club from the city !
