  1. Ramirez looks to be a class player ! Fonte is back to form ! Davis was a great bargain !
  2. It's probably the biggest though !
  3. Let's just put the signings of Gazzaniga, Boruc, Clyne, Yoshida, Davis, Mayuka and Rodrigues to the one side then, just to suit your argument, eh ??
  4. Excellent post Frank ! (apart from the spelling of course:))
  5. Word on the street is that Chinny's mob have a contract out and that he's holed up in a safe house ! One of my boys saw a horse's head being dumped from his gaff along with the food waste the other day ! Can't divulge my source cos I ain't no grass, capiche ??
  6. Apart from the fact that you have said it before, on what grounds do you base your judgement ??
  7. If we aspire to progress at Premier League level then stability is a key factor !! Chopping and changing managerial positions is seldom the answer and if we are not prepared to allow even a quarter of the season as a learning period then I despair ! There is nothing to be gained by short term solutions which are built on sand, solid foundations are necessary, patience and resolve are required to achieve this ! Good business people recognise this and I'll be very disappointed if NC does not ! Nigel has made mistakes like anyone would in his situation, but has clearly shown that he has strong personal characteristics and the motivation to succeed ! IMO he truly deserves the full support of everyone (board and fans alike!) and I am happy to note that over 90% on this website are in agreement !! I posted the above on the 'Poll' thread but it is probably more applicable here (yes, there are too many threads about the same subject!).

  9. Fair do's, the guy certainly got (and still gets !) the picture and tells it like it is ! Pity about the haircut, mind
  10. I often Sky+ programmes then watch them later so that I can just skip the adverts ! Makes sense and cuts the cr@p out !
  11. A very harsh indictment on what I meant as a reasonable, even handed post ! FWIW, I consider Nigel to be an honest, hard working individual and when he makes mistakes I'm sure that it is always with the best of intentions ! No doubt eventually the short term thickos will get their way and he'll be replaced by a mercenary 'big name' but will we be any better for it ? Personally I doubt it, but that's the way it goes in the sordid world of football as we know it !
  12. Having just trawled through 210 posts it is easy to see why Nigel has an almost impossible task to please the masses ! Conflicting opinions all over the place - he was right on this, he was wrong on that ! The fact is that it is not an exact science - it is sport, it is unpredictable, it is volatile ! Had Puncheon's goal stood and we went 2 up, I reckon that we would have closed the game out, but it was not to be and after that Nigel had to make some tough decisions ! He did, was he right or was he wrong ?? We'll never know, but at least he tried his best !!
  13. Brendan Cole : Dunno, just something about him strikes me as completely arrogant and up himself ! Like all the other posts on this thread, there is no logic and hopefully nobody actually takes it seriously ! FWIW, I've met Alan Titchmarsh and he was a lovely bloke but has already got a couple of mentions on here !!
  14. Brendan Cole (dancer and prize ***t!)
  15. The next time any Skate questions the fact that they were trading whilst insolvent, I think that we should refer them to these articles (by one of their own!) as he clearly asserts that there was intentional skullduggery and (alleged!) fraud !!
  16. Sorry Mods, just seen that this was included on a previous thread, feel free to cut me off at the knees !!
  17. I don't know why you continue to try and justify this comment as it is just plain wrong ! Personally I don't give a sh#t but you just won't give up, will you ??
  18. http://www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/121003/homesick-guly-longs-brazil-return-182267?
  19. Sorry to be pedantic but you really do seem to be misssing something : Home matches - 2/9, 22/9, 25/9 and 7/10 = 4 matches in 5 weeks NOT our ONLY match ! (Ps. I note that you conveniently changed your post from 'only home game' to 'only home league game', strikes me that you will do anything to suit your own agenda!)
  20. Sheff Wed tomorrow night, Fulham a week on Sunday ! Not sure that it is a factor but best to get the facts right !!
  21. Billy Sharp missed one last season !
  22. It was pretty low at half time then an amazing high in the second half, so you don't even have to suffer game to game, it's all there in a single match !!
  23. If we crack 30,000 for every home match then I consider that as a pretty respectable turnout ! Twelfth in the attendance league behind only the traditional top clubs is as good as we can expect ! I just wish we could get to twelfth in the actual league table sooner rather than later !!
  24. eurosaint also at the match. I'm his daughter in SA trying to find out what's going on!
  25. Ok thought I'd missed something! Only Prem match not being shown live on tv here so was hoping would get some decent updates on here!
