My original point was only that Cameron was forced to concede to a referendum because SNP held a majority in the Scottish parliament and that in my opinion they reached this point due to Labour's policy of appeasement over a number of years ! Sadly I cannot take further part in this debate as I am off on a golfing holiday with my rich Tory friends Enjoy......

Bloody hell, criticism of the Labour Party in Scotland automatically puts me down as a 'right winger' and a 'blinkered blue' ! Nice to be involved in a civilised debate on democracy !

Strange reply, I guess that you have an anti New Labour agenda as well as an anti Tory one Balanced view I suppose but you really have lost me now so I give up !

As opposed to poor guys like Blair, Mandelson and Brown who ennobled the poor bankers like Fred Goodwin and brought the country to it's knees ! Politics of envy I'm afraid with a large dose of hypocrisy thrown in, anyway that's for another day, this thread is about the independence referendum and I live in the desperate hope of a NO vote !

I wouldn't know where to start with your rants v the Tories so I won't even try ! Cameron had no choice about the referendum once the SNP achieved a majority in the Scottish Parliament and IMO this was due to the incompetence of the Labour Party in Scotland, they displayed their weakness with concessions which fell nicely into the lap of the nationalists ! Anyway Pap, as I said it's not personal but if you don't have an anti Tory agenda then I am a Skate living at the bottom of the sea :)

Kind of proves my point about 'short term' thinking, we had 13 years of labour government but all of a sudden it's all the fault of the Tories ! Surely total and irrevocable separation after 300 years should be about more than just the dislike of a passing government (which just happens to be a coalition at the moment!).

Makes me laugh that some (mainly Pap!) are blaming Cameron and his party for the surge in SNP popularity ! The Tories do not exist in Scotland and have not been a force for many years, Labour have bent over backwards to preserve votes by handing out benefits, concessions and subsidies across the board which has been counter productive in the extreme ! The more that has been given (the Scottish Parliament being the prime example), the more that is demanded ! Scotland is a hotbed of socialism and right now there is a race to the bottom between Labour and the SNP as to who can offer the biggest handouts ! I smile when I watch debates about the 'bedroom tax', child poverty etc.. because these are very short term political issues and bear little relevance to the wider (and final !) prospect of total separation ! The fact is that neither SNP nor Labour could run a sweetie shop and economic ruin is a distinct possibility ! Whatever the result, and I pray that the vote is 'NO', IMHO it has little or nothing to do with David Cameron and the Conservative party ! Ps. PAP, nothing personal to you but I feel that your anti Tory agenda is colouring your viewpoint somewhat on this subject !

It ill behoves me to say this but sadly we have a number of arseholes on our main board who do exactly the same thing ! Lose a couple of games and the vitriol doesn't take long to get into full swing ! There are also many who say 'would of ', 'could of ' and 'should of ' especially when we 'loose'

That is the key to good squad morale IMHO as it would be very unfair on either Maya or Jose to be dropped after the last couple of games ! For sure, at some point one of them will get injured or have a 'mare' then the others have to seize their opportunity, that is what the squad system is all about and inevitably that is what happens ! The great thing now is at least we have realistic options which has not been the case until now !

Andy's point was that even if you were filled with trepidation, the intelligent thing to do was to be patient and judge the club by it's actions in repairing damage which they did not want to happen in the first place ! Your approach is always to steam in with total outrage and the assumption that everything will fall apart ! Believe me, he is the sensible one, not you !

The moronic booing of pelle last week (the minority, I accept!) has been shown up for what it was ! The guy deserves some time to settle and find his feet within a system that suits both him and the others around him, especially as his work ethic is so strong ! Respect !!

Whether he becomes a success here or not, only time will tell but there some things for sure : He is a fighter, he works hard, he takes responsibility, he never hides, he has a very strong work ethic and a good positive attitude ! These attributes should command our respect even if his quality is found to be lacking which I truly hope that it is not !

This is also symptomatic of the world today and a lot of it is due to interaction on social media and sites like this ! Note that every season we have to have a scapegoat/figure of fun (Guly, Fox, Telfer etc..) and often players are slagged off as they are signed, sometimes even before they actually play (Long ?). The same people tend to judge both managers and players after only a few matches which defies all logical reason ! IMHO this approach is lacking in basic intelligence as any sensible person would surely form a serious opinion only after a reasonable period of time and reflection !

You must be talking about guys like Van Nistelroy, Van Persie, Bergkamp, Hasselbank and Suarez then ??

TBF to WBA they closed us down very quickly and used every trick in the book to disrupt the flow of the game ! Still our lack of cutting edge is a worry !!
