The substitution was tactically perfect as Wanyama's role of protecting the back four and breaking up play was not required, due to Hull sitting pretty deep ! Davis brought more forward momentum and energy so the shape became more effective ! All IMHO of course !

I guess that is why the old lad wrote the article, he perceives that social issues are somehow linked to remembrance for the dead, personally I don't, but each of us has the right to say, do and believe what we want, thankfully we still live in a democratic country !

The question that no-one has yet answered is "how do we know that people are wearing the poppy for reasons that are not genuine" ??

I'm not sure how you come to that conclusion, the poppy has been worn since 1920 and unless someone actually tells you that they are wearing it in support of (ie.) the Iraq war then how do you know ?? Ps. not being critical, just wonder why some people interpret the usage in this way !

I have worn a poppy every year since adulhood and do it in memory of those fallen in all conflicts on behalf of my country ! I can see no reason to politicise the practise and do not in any way relate it to 'monolithic corporate institutions' or any other issue either ! The old guy is entitled to his opinion and take action as he sees fit, but IMHO the vast majority of British citizens wear the poppy with pride and do not consider that it is in any way linked to the rights or wrongs of society today !

Team made up mainly with the non-regulars but with a very strong bench is called for IMO ! Sunderland have to concentrate on the league more than us as they are in the relegation mix so I expect them to make many changes ! If we keep it tight for an hour and then go for the jugular we should have enough to win it ! COYS.

I'm just around the bay from the Needles where 99mph winds were clocked but we are relatively sheltered so no damage this morning ! Our (small) road is blocked though due to some big branches having come down, I offered to help my neighbour to clear it to the one side but he said that the council would only come and clear it away if the road was actually blocked so he left it ! It's his tree so I didn't argue but some poor buggers will have to take a short diversion to get anywhere !!
